DISCLAIMER AND CATEGORICAL DENIAL OF FALSE ALLEGATIONS OF RAPE, SEXUAL MISCONDUCT, AND ANY CRIMINAL INVOLVEMENT My attention has been drawn to a malicious and defamatory publication currently circulating on X (formerly Twitter), made by the account identified as @TheAjakeManger, wherein the author falsely alleged that I was “almost expelled for rape and molestation in Enugu Law School.” Following the publication of the said false allegation, it has been widely circulated, reposted, and amplified by several other users, with numerous comments and reactions being made in furtherance of the said false narrative. I hereby state categorically, unequivocally, and without any reservation whatsoever that I have never, at any point in my life, been involved in rape, sexual misconduct, or any sexual offence whatsoever. I have also never been investigated, accused, charged, or found culpable for any criminal offence known to law. For the avoidance of doubt, throughout my one-year programme at the Nigerian Law School, Enugu Campus, I was never involved in any act of misconduct, nor was any allegation of misconduct or criminal behaviour made against me. I was never issued any query, disciplinary notice, or sanction, and to the best of my knowledge, no complaint of rape, sexual misconduct, or any related allegation was ever recorded against me by the institution. The publication in question is therefore entirely false, reckless, malicious, and a deliberate attempt to tarnish my reputation, destroy my professional standing, and silence my political opinions and ideological convictions. When I saw the campaign of falsehood being orchestrated against me, I asked myself: “Has my voice become so loud that some individuals now consider false accusations as a means of silencing me?” This tactic is not unfamiliar to me. During the 2023 general elections, I witnessed similar patterns of online attacks, intimidation, blackmail, and attempts to suppress dissenting voices against individuals who expressed political views contrary to those of supporters of Mr. @PeterObi. I was initially inclined towards supporting Obi, but I became deeply dissatisfied with the conduct and methods employed by his Obidient mob, which ultimately influenced my decision to support President @officialABAT, a decision I remain firm and unapologetic about. My records are clean, and I say this with every sense of responsibility and confidence. Indeed, upon completion of my programme at the Nigerian Law School, I was honoured with a LETTER OF COMMENDATION from the Council of Legal Education, a recognition that speaks to my conduct, discipline, and commitment throughout my period of study. I shall make the said commendation letter publicly available in a subsequent post. One of the reasons I have deemed it necessary to respond promptly to this false allegation is because I am presently handling a rape matter in my professional capacity as a legal practitioner, where I have successfully pursued legal steps that resulted in the remand of the defendant pending trial. As a matter of principle, sexual offences are among the gravest violations of human dignity, and I have consistently maintained a strong stance against perpetrators of such crimes. To my friends, colleagues, and well-wishers who have reached out to me in concern, I appreciate your messages, calls, and unwavering confidence in my character. You know who I am, the values I stand for, and the reason behind this malicious campaign. Obidiots believed that falsehood, and character assassination will force me into silence, let this serve as a clear message: I will not be bullied, intimidated, or compelled to abandon my convictions. I remain steadfast in my beliefs, my support for President Tinubu, and my commitment to exercising my right to freedom of expression. Falsehood may trend for a moment, but truth and integrity will always outlive it. I have the reputation that your Obi is praying for. E. O. Ogar, Esq.
