Treating recurrent Dupuytren's contractures after surgery is a challenge. I'm proud to have contributed to a multicenter study that shows collagenase is safe/effective in treating these contractures. We saw a mean 38° improvement w/minimal adverse events. tinyurl.com/5n8ffe3h

I was honored speak at the Intl. Conference on Dupuytren Disease in Brussels, May 16-17. I discussed the role of collagenase and contracture recurrence. I learned new findings on genetics, cellular biology and evolving treatments. Thanks to Dr DeGreef for hosting a great meeting!

I'm excited to have performed the first ten endoscopic carpal tunnel releases with the newly released VECTR device by Rafael Medical Devices. This system allows surgeons to reduce turnover times/sterilization costs at ASCs; enhances the ability to perform this surgery in office.

Proud to support Project Music. Last week, I attended Project Music's 10th Anniversary Gala Extravaganza with my partner, fellow hand surgeon Dr. Matthew Cantlon. Proceeds supported Project Music's mission to use the transformative power of music to effect positive social change

Proud of my coauthors @ONS_Foundation—honored to coauthor this study w/one of my mentors who developed the technique, Dr. Bernard Morrey @MayoClinic. Intrabursal injection of doxycyline was a safe & effective alt. to surgery f/olecranon bursitis refractory to conservative mgmt.

On Sat., Greenwich Hospital welcomed Dr. Charlie Eaton, one of the world’s experts on Dupuytren’s Disease and the surgeon who brought needle fasciotomy to the US. He gave a seminar on the challenges of this condition and his work with the Dupuytren Research Group to find a cure.

Spent a day teaching my son about bones at the dinosaur exhibit at the Museum of Natural History. Maybe Luca is a budding orthopedic surgeon?

Via various systematic reviews there is still about a 35% recurrence with surgery at 5 - 10 yrs and the recovery takes 3 - 4 months.
