Do we think that #Sorare will ever fix their averages for players that only have only player 1-2 games. EG if a player has only payed 1 game in the last 15 and scored 80 his average over the last 15 should not be 80. Am i right 🤦‍♂️. Feel like this should be an easy fix.

Founder of Curve borrowed over $100m in stablecoins on various DeFi lending protocols using his CRV as collateral. Probably spent some (all?) $100m on IRL stuff like mansions. Why'd he borrow against his CRV rather than sell it? Idk, maybe to avoid tax gains and to avoid tanking the price of CRV. Curve gets hit by exploit, millions lost. So now CRV value decreasing, DeFi protocols raising CRV interest rates, and Founder may not be able to pay down his CRV loans before they're liquidated. There are many lessons here, but one is: DON'T USE LEVERAGE. There's no free lunch folks. Even seasoned investors fall into the leverage trap. Remember this during the next bull market.

Big tech firms, private equity, and many FinTech startups, would love to own, re-capitalize, and modernize banking. We can revitalize the brittle banking sector with capital and engineering talent. The problem? There are antiquated laws that prohibit the commingling of banking and commerce. This is in part why Walmart failed to acquire a bank in the 2000s. Incumbents pushed back. It’s also why $AMZN has conquered nearly every industry - except banking. Private Equity firms cannot own more than 24.9% of a bank. So tech firms, capital and entrepreneurs cannot come to the rescue when a bank like $SI or $SIVB needs help. That makes banks vulnerable to bank runs in the digital era. The answer? Enable private capital and technology to enter the sector - while maintaining the highest standards of ‘safety and soundness’. We cannot afford bank bailouts. But we also want the security and knowledge that our deposits are safe.
