UK: After posting the video of the two West Midland Police officers #29500 and #29110 attempting to confiscate the phone of a child for watching a social media post I deleted it assuming it had to be a skit. I reached out to the West Midlands Police department and when they would not deny the officers were real I decided to repost the video. The British people really need to wake up. This is no way to live. If the mother of the child refused to turn over the phone to the police they threatened to arrest the child.

UK: The West Midlands Police refused to confirm whether or not the officers depicted in the video (above) are with their department or were acting under their authority. They requested I file a complaint which I refused, but they did ask me to submit the video to their website which I did. I also made it clear I was going to repost the video as well. Seriously, the people of Great Britain need to wake up. They are living in a 1984 hellscape...

Delighted to help you get this straight, Camilla. The Tube is operating with 2,000 fewer staff than before the pandemic so our members are working more extreme shifts (4 am starts, 1 am finishes) to keep London moving. Fatigue and understaffing are a dangerous mix.

@BMLBod Nothing more than engagement farming from a journalist. Helps keep train drivers in the algorithms so there’s a constant source of people moaning about driver pay and pensions, automation and touching buttons etc etc etc. I’d trust a train driver over a journalist every day

This train is running on the Down Quarry Line on the Brighton Main Line, just beyond the southern portal of Redhill Tunnel. A few drivers here who could tell you what line speed is through there….
