NEW: The neighbor who was allegedly punched by actor Alan Ritchson, explains to TMZ how the incident started, says he told the actor to "slow it down."
"I did push him because he was coming towards me on his, on his bike."
"He did it again for a second time. I pushed him a second time, and I think the second time he got off his bike and kicked the crap outta me."

@GeorgeSmileyOBE They can’t even stay consistent with the nonsense they put out.

Hold on I’m confused..
Thought a director said recently there’s no correlation between the coach & teams performances..
So basically more tripe…

🚨 Chelsea believe the main reason for their stop-start season has been the unplanned mid-season change of coach which the club were forced into when Enzo Maresca effectively quit. (@Matt_Law_DT) #CFC

@Potentsports @BluesSW6 Clearlake failed to bring in a competent keeper despite spending literal billions.

@terryflewers Exactly. No one cared when Chilwell’s goal in the last minute of the 2021 FA Cup final was wiped out by VAR - despite the freeze-frame being such shoddy resolution that the ball was a blur & it could never be certain when the pass was made - because it was a better story.
English

The reaction to Chelsea beating Wrexham has been genuinely bizarre. You’ve got professional pundits and fans openly calling for VAR to be scrapped, even though it intervened correctly on two occasions simply because it denied them the romantic outcome they wanted.
We scream for VAR when it makes huge mistakes, but when it gets decisions right and the team people wanted to win doesn’t, suddenly the system is the problem. That kind of selective outrage is pure madness.

@mcfc_son @primevideosport Drogba scored 9 goals in cup finals & was huge in winning masses of trophies including multiple PL titles &, of course, a CL title. Guessing you’re not old enough to have watched him in his prime, but you’re old enough to have Googled that Drogba doesn’t have a statue.
English

If Drogba is the legendary striker standard, then the bar at Chelsea must have been set somewhere around waist height. Imagine building a statue for a striker whose usual league return hovered around 12–13 goals a season. In most big clubs that’s called a decent supporting striker, not a mythical icon.
Chelsea fans talk about Drogba like he was some unstoppable goal machine but the numbers tell a different story. Week in, week out he was giving you the production of a solid mid-table forward, and somehow that turned into folklore simply because the club didn’t exactly have a long list of historic goal scoring greats before the money started flowing.
That’s the funny part: at truly massive clubs, a 13-goal league season barely gets you applause, it gets you questions about form but at Chelsea it became the stuff of legends. When your club’s history is relatively short at the very top, even modest numbers can get inflated into mythology.

@merkinking @nicksterwixter @silversarahj Massively agree. I believe the timeframe is spot-on too, it was definitely somewhere in the second half of the ‘00s.
English

@nicksterwixter @silversarahj The 90's were peak. I'd be willing to go as far forward as ~2007, but it's been absolutely downhill since.

I hate that I had to grow up in the generation that got to see what life was like before the internet and then have to watch as it single-handedly destroys every single social entertainment space. Video rental stores, movie theaters, malls, arcades, bowling alleys, etc. The infinite access to at-home entertainment is turning us all into lazy, antisocial, depressed hermits and we’re just willingly allowing this to happen to us. The long term ramifications of this are so dire.

My hometown movie theater that I’ve seen almost every major blockbuster from the last two decades at and used to go with giant groups of friends to to line up for midnight premieres just suddenly closed this past week and I’m absolutely devastated 😭😭😭
