The congregational polity of the LCMS saved our church body in the 1970s. The episcopal polity (and “apostolic succession”) of the ELCA and Episcopal Church have been instrumental in their destruction.
If you’re going to claim that opposition to the title “bishop” comes from “Boomer” Lutherans, consider the possibility that the Boomers saw all this and remember it and are due your honor for fighting the good fight to preserve the faithful church body you have.

The thing is, we do understand what we’re given to understand. You should not go beyond what God has revealed. We know that there is only one God. We know that each Person is God and we know that each Person is not another. How this can be, we are not given to know…

Literally every single time you as a Creedal to explain the Trinity in a way that makes sense they ALWAYS reply with the "god is unknowable" line. They literally don't understand their own theology and yet criticize us for the very thing they are also guilty of.

Christ's answer to people wanting to learn the Gospel truth is to search the scriptures and see the testimony of His disciples, which confirm the scriptures. You guys actively deny the scriptures and the truths therein, which are ultimately encapsulated in the creeds.

You don’t like it b/c that seems to be how people keep joining the Mormon church, even though that’s how God told people in the Bible to learn Gospel truths.

The creeds are direct quotations and paraphrases of the scriptures. They add no new content, they merely summarize.

Even in the Old Testament, God uses water to save His people but "Prots" like you being devoid of grace cannot figure that out.
Water Baptism washes away and destroys Original sin and the dominion of the devil over Jesus' people.

@simonsnathank @LibertyEthics Yes it does. The 10 commandments are about objective morality. Worshipping multiple gods could only be objectively immoral if only one God exists. Otherwise the commandments would be subjective, and God would not be God.

My thing on this has nothing to do with hating on Mormons. It's just total bafflement at the argument that they're Christians. They're just... not. They're not even monotheists! Their god is not the God that created the universe. They deny the Trinity. I could go on. Just, stop.

Mormons are often very personally offended when Christians say that Mormonism isn’t Christian. This is dumb. Joseph Smith’s first “encounter” with God involves God telling Smith that every creed Christians profess is an abomination to God. Every creed. That includes the Nicene Creed. They reject who God is, who Jesus is, the nature of salvation, the nature of exaltation, the clear teaching of Scripture, etc.. Mormonism rejects the very core of the Christian faith in all its essentials. Joseph Smith knew this but nowadays they are playing mind games with their own people and with real Christians. Either THEY are Christians or WE are. It’s one or the other. Not both. When asked “Will all be damned but Mormons?” Smith replied, “Yes, and a great portion of them unless they repent and work righteousness” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pg. 119) The Doctrine and Covenants (1:30) leaves no doubt to the Mormon teaching of exclusivity when it says the LDS Church is “the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth, with which I, the Lord, am well pleased ….” Brigham Young, second only to Joseph Smith in Mormonism said… “Should you ask why we differ from other Christians, as they are called, it is simply because they are not Christians as the New Testament defines Christianity” (Journal of Discourses 10:230). “The Christian world, so-called, are heathens as to the knowledge of the salvation of God” (Journal of Discourses 8:171). I could easily give you pages of them saying they are the only true Christians and how we are all ignorant beasts and our doctrines are wrong. They knew at the time they had a different God, gospel, Scripture, and system of belief. But now it has become expedient to pretend otherwise while still preaching all those false and unchristian things. Mormons, your leaders are gaslighting you and you are gaslighting us. You aren’t Christian but we want you to be. Flee from Mormonism. Flee from Joseph Smith.

Well, they were covenanted to the God of Israel and tried worshiping other Nations gods in Israel. Which is a big no no. That’s why Naamen packs up sacks of dirt so he can worship the God of Israel in Israel. What is the first commandment? Seems silly if only one God exists. Wouldn’t the first commandment just be. I am the only God.
