It really does seem weird, the game finally makes a banger update that is definitely going to bring a ton of people back, just to drop it altogether. This would be the perfect update to use as a springboard into the next saga with a ton of support

@DivideGaming21 Back in forsaken I ended up randomly joining a guild called Whiskey Bros and we played all the time that year, completed last wish countless times, and just vibed. We all just played at night, sipped whiskey, and joked around. Best time by far playing D2

I don't care what anyone says. I'm going to enjoy this June update as much as I can. I'm going to replay the campaigns, raids, dungeons, strikes and activities, visit all the pointless places in patrol. I'm going to farm catalysts, chase god rolls, finish my collections and make all my favorite builds. But more importantly, once I feel satisfied, no matter how long it takes, I'm going to sit at the edge of the Tower looking into the distance and tell my Guardian it's finally time to retire, and let go of Destiny. Let this be a memory we never forget. 12 years of adventures, friendships, victories, failures and unforgettable moments. All the good and all the bad. Nothing is perfect, nothing lasts forever, but if you've been on this journey since the very beginning, I'm sure you've had some incredible moments. If you've got this far, share one important memory that you've had from Destiny that has meant a lot to you, whether that's meeting your partner, your best friend, or you've had an experience you'll never forget. I'd love to hear the stories you've all had during this time because not many games can say that they've created a memory worth remembering. For me, my biggest memory was during 2015 when I did my first ever raid and spent days upon days failing badly, but.. I never gave up, I kept going because I knew that if I kept trying I would improve, and if I kept improving I would succeed, and succeed I did, my first ever raid clear, and it truely was an experience I'll never forget. All the memories, all the awesome people I met along the way. It's been an incredible journey both as a Guardian and a Content Creator, and if this truely is the end of Destiny, I'm sure as hell going to enjoy every last minute of it because life is too short and nothing lasts forever. See ya'll on June 9th.

@CrumpetsArePog There was like 2 gay characters and I'd didn't really hold any bearing on the story, it was a matter of fact thing that you could just move on from lol

@KileeSakazaki First descendant is a lot of fun and you don't honestly have to spend money. You can spend money to speed up progress and may feel inclined to at some point, but the gameplay is really good overall

I’m looking for a looter shooter that isn’t Borderlands, Destiny, or Warframe. Do you have any opinions on The First Descendant or Remnant (which doesn’t look like a traditional looter shooter but still looks kinda fun)?

Probably not even a hot take, but time gating content drove a lot of people away. Waiting week after week for a tiny spoonful of story made a lot of people lose interest in the game.

@ldedsterl In PVP I wouldn't say they are broken, but I would say they have a much lower skill ceiling than the others. It's a much easier class to be good with but I would argue top tier hunters and warlocks are better than top tier titans

Titans are the most broken class in the game and have been for years

@ChaosHusk I would have loved them especially because after a decade of playing, most of my friends don't play anymore so it's hard to find people to play the ewer raids with. I'd love to not spend 6 hours coaching people to still fail the raid and not complete it lol

Hey yall, ill do a hot Take thread before destiny 2 comes to a update end every 5 likes and ill say one of my opinions which alot seem to differ from popular opinion 1. Ron is actually a decent raid. Just because a raid isnt complex with a bunch of mechanics doesnt mean its bad.

@frogpitgaming The two biggest issues people have are: 1. The story is unfinished after being built up for over a decade 2. There is a metric fuck ton of content that people paid for that is vaulted and not returning. The main campaign for example. The actual original D2 campaign is erased.

D2 is not even getting shut down. It's just not getting any more content after the 9th. It is, allegedly, getting almost all of the fixes the community has wanted and then being left in a content complete state. That means this entire online tantrum is not because people can't access their favorite game anymore. It's because they feel entitled to more than 11 years of content updates and indefinite access to their content complete game.

Also some people simply aren't good enough at games to grasp some of the raid mechanics. Having an easier version of the raids would make sure everyone got a chance to play through the lore

They should have added versions of the raids that had less mechanics or were purely combat focused, a few weeks after the release of each raid. Some people wanted to play the raid but didn't have friends, and matchmaking just doesn't work well with complex mechanics.

@trulyyblu Hard to say but I probably have to go with Thorn. I loved that gun so much in PVP, especially when paired with dunemarchers and a hammer strike titan

In the entire Destiny franchise what is your all time favorite exotic? For me its Outbreak Prime and later Perfected. Im a big pulse rifle enjoyer and the Outbreak quest in destiny 1 with WOTM is something I will NEVER forget. Also this thing is crazy powerful. #WeWantDestiny3

@Comrade_Del Marathon though doesn't really seem to be anything special so I don't have high hopes. Destiny succeeded for as long as it did because it also felt very unique being a MMO with extremely smooth shooting mechanics

@Comrade_Del Apex as a Battle Royale was also completely unique in its movement and gunplay and felt so much better than other Battle royale's at the time which is why it succeeded. At least until the devs let it go to shit, though I have yet to try recently but I heard it made a resurgence

Nah, in this case I fully understand the Destiny players. I LOVED Titanfall and Titanfall 2 seemed like the start of an amazing thing... and then it was murdered for the sake of Apex Legends. I have never touched Apex and I don't ever intend to start. People have already spoken with their wallets, considering the game hadn't made a dollar back of it's development costs.

@NamelessGabe No worries the destiny story in general is hard enough to keep up with. But yeah there's a lot of confusion because bungee tee'd up the gardener and Winnower to be almost eldritch gods, but when silently shifted to make them more like the force in Star wars so no one really knows

I’ve come to realize that a large portion of this game audience on Twitter has not read any of the lore books in game

@NamelessGabe And even the Gardener and Winnower aren't set in stone from an identity standpoint, it seemed at first like they were basically primordial gods, but then we're also described as more like just laws or forces of nature.

@NamelessGabe The problem is that bungee is purposely ambiguous with the traveler regarding its origin, purpose, and even what it is. They started out making the witness and traveler seem like they were the Gardener and Winnower but then that wasn't the case.
