"There’s nobody in Congress more faithful to the Constitution than Massie " says Rand Paul Really? So why does he constantly violate the First Amendment by blocking anyone he disagrees with online?

There’s nobody in Congress more faithful to the Constitution than @MassieforKY. He stands against wasteful spending, runaway debt, and government overreach no matter which party is pushing it. Kentucky would be making a mistake by letting him go. @realDailyWire

@FixingEducation Depends on the subject and student needs. If I can lecture and expect good behavior and student buy-in, then we could have a large lecture hall. If they need more personal attention and 1-1 teaching, then 12-18 is ideal.

@offgridteacher Anecdotally, it isn’t applied when the student is a key player in a sport that matters to the community. “What can you do to help him pass? Or “You should have notified his parents, the administration, the Athletics Director, and his coach. You did not. He plays tonight.”

@DrNeilStone Blocking someone on X isn’t Congress passing a law or the government jailing you for your views. You’re misunderstanding how the 1st works. I didn’t grow up here and even i know that.

@latinedisce That chart does not say "Are you smart enough to study Classical Languages?" Scores on the GRE ignores those who couldn't or didn't want to go to grad school, which has nothing to do with the ability to learn Classical Languages.

@RedElvisFan @TheTNHoller I compare this to crossing the street. Sure, all cars are required to stop for pedestrians in the crosswalk and if they don’t, they face a fine or citation. OTOH, you’re going to get hurt or killed.

@TheTNHoller All girls need to learn this lesson as early as possible. Every adult they turn to, their father, teacher, coach, priest, is likely to abuse them. They need to know there is no such thing as a “trusted adult.” Pretty horrific when it happens in public and the public just watches.

@CyclicallyC @Dale_Chu @Matthew_Stone @educationweek Since the majority of “school choice” money ends up going to families who have already left the public schools and leaving the public schools underfunded but forced to admit choice school drop-outs, I can never get behind this movement.

TREASON: Imagine a sitting Senator and former military officer receives an alarming classified briefing that shows we are almost out of missiles. Now imagine we’re on the brink of a negotiated peace deal with our enemy. Now imagine that Senator goes on TV and tells the world we’re out of ammo - do you think our enemies might scuttle the peace deal and just wait us out? That’s exactly what Senator Mark Kelly did yesterday.

I handled Top Secret information only a handful of times in my military career. Every time I did, I remember thinking to myself "Why is this classified? Everybody suspects this is true, it's just common sense..." But then I remembered that the reason the data was classified was so that no one in the know would or could ever confirm or deny whether "common sense" suspicions were actually true. THAT is the power of security classifications. My point is this: it does not matter whether or not anyone has a common sense suspicion that stores of precision munitions might be depleted. When Kelly officially verified that suspicion at the individual munition level, he created a grave breach of national security. Prosecute this traitor. Remember when some submariner went to the brig because he posted a picture from the inside of a sub? This is far worse. Prosecute.
Senator Mark Kelly@SenMarkKelly

We had this conversation in a public hearing a week ago and you said it would take “years” to replenish some of these stockpiles. That’s not classified, it’s a quote from you. This war is coming at a serious cost and you and the president still haven’t explained to the American people what the goal is.

Here is a simple question for you. What comes after 3? Most people would say 4. But that is not necessarily true. We usually assume natural numbers, but the question did not specify that. Between 3 and 4, there are infinitely many numbers. For example, 3.1 comes after 3. So does 3.01, 3.001, and many more. This leads to an interesting idea. Can we identify the exact next number after 3? The answer is no. If we are talking about numbers in general, not just integers or natural numbers, there is no single “next” number. Between any two numbers, you can always find another number. In simple terms, numbers are infinitely dense. No matter how close two numbers are, there is always another number in between. If you think there is a way to define a specific number that comes immediately after 3, feel free to share your reasoning.

@cabsav456 SCOTUS has already damaged their own credibility and proven their institutional independence is no longer in effect. This started when candidates refused to answer pointed questions in confirmations or BSed their way through. We should have 1 justice per circuit, anyway.

I fully agree that court-packing would destroy the Supreme Court's independence and seriously damage its credibility as an institution. That said, I really wish Republicans hadn't invoked the nuclear option in 2017 to allow confirmation of SCOTUS justices by a simple 51-vote majority instead of 60. Democrats started this arms race in 2013 with lower courts, but making the entire judicial confirmation process this partisan — especially for SCOTUS justices who have the final say — is the real problem. You're either qualified or you're not. That is what the Senate confirmation process should be about.
Derek Pederson 🇺🇸🇺🇦🇻🇪@DerekPederson3

I really don’t want to ever see court-packing happen. It would destroy the Supreme Court as an institution and enormously erode American democracy. And I think conservatives may have brought about that outcome in their quest to put ideologically aligned justices on the court.
