Tax the rich more, they say Well did you know that a £150,000 earner pays £53,460 in income tax alone But a £25,000 earner pays just £2,486 How is this fair? And why are we attacking those high earners and forcing them out of the country? It takes more than 20 low rate taxpayers to pay the same as one person who earns £150,000 It’s these higher earners who generate nearly all the tax revenue to fund the NHS, the police, transport & public services Labour are biting the hand that feeds them & this will end very badly unless things change & change fast

@btconlyscott Oh dear. I think it is you paddling in the puddle-like depth of economic knowledge. And taxation is not theft - it is how we a decent society pays for vital public services.

For those who were asleep at the back: - the overwhelming majority of farmers will be unaffected by the proposed changes to Inheritance Tax - those complaining about it are the multi-millionaires who saw investing in farmland as an excellent tax avoidance measure.
