BREAKING: Iran has surrendered control of the Strait of Hormuz after Garry Tan's gstack identified three critical vulnerabilities in their naval blockade during a routine /review. A CTO friend texted him: Your strait reopening is crazy. This is like god mode. The IRGC is now charging $2 million per pull request.

guys, i honestly do not like clowning on Gary. I don't find being the butt of a joke funny, so I imagine he does not either. But, this is what worries me about where we are going. We are actively encouraging an entire generation that the tech is there when its not, and a couple of silly mistakes made on a website isn't the end of the world, but people's data and breaches are serious. We are entering a very VERY hackable world, and I do not like it one bit.
gregorein@Gregorein

so... I audited Garry's website after he bragged about 37K LOC/day and a 72-day shipping streak. here's what 78,400 lines of AI slop code actually looks like in production. a single homepage load of garryslist.org downloads 6.42 MB across 169 requests. for a newsletter-blog-thingy. 1/9🧵

@levelsio Get ready for an even lower quality software as people vibe code literally everything, including your bank app. My feeling is that most devs out there don't do a sane use of these tools, they produce stuff like the one in your video

The only reason you posted this is to flex an attractive girl looking at you. The meeting itself was most likely just bunch of nobodies disussing nothing of value (because you lack expertise to do otherwise) Also, I bet there was at least one dating coach or a day trader present during this meeting.

I got invited to an OpenClaw Mastermind today. I drove through one little dirt path, crossed an asphalt road for 10 meters. drove through another little dirt path. I opened the door of a beautiful villa: - An health influencer with 4.1M followers. - A few other huge ones. - A guy who raised $30M with Y Combinator - A few SaaS Founders We talked about OpenClaw for a few hours. This is what I love about living in Bali: a big city vibe in a village.

@zcserei @tropianhs 99% of the time you will never get 75K in Milan. They write that then you find out your net is way lower, and it will be a struggle to pay rent and survive. It's also personal but in general there's no city imo in Italy that currently delivers what it cost. Awful ratio price/QOL

@orikron incredible. In case of need they can also switch to different locations immediately, it's safer, and in a chill environment it may even be easier to concentrate

@aidenybai I'm using React daily but it's so easy to fall into bad practices and a messy code base with it that I kind of hate it

the reason your React code sucks is useEffect + setState don't sync local state inside of useEffects - this will make your code overly complex to reason about

Not sure which plugin is this but Paid Membership Pro started doing this since 2023. Terrible practice, the extra fee is not mentioned anywhere, only incidentally in some of their blog articles. The good news is that you can disable the fee with some code

@goddtriffin @Jonathan_Blow As an Italian what I see in those pics is something resembling Turkey dishes (which are quite good) but for sure nothing related to pizza :D

@Jonathan_Blow Agreed. The actual best pizza in the world is Chicago style (NOT deep dish), like from Home Run Inn. I literally just went there 1 hour ago. One of the worst parts about moving to the bay was the quality of the “pizza”… 😔

The funniest thing about the Bay Area is all the terrible pizza people eat because it’s perceived to be upper-class: brushed with olive oil and topped with Gruyère, rather than God’s honest red sauce, pepperoni and an actual cheese meant for pizzas.
