If the NCAA moves eligibility to 5 years to play 5 seasons from when you graduate high school or turn 19 years old, they have to make an exemption for religious based schools like BYU and UTAH who routinely have student athletes go on 1-2 year mission trips before they ever play.

@dbeshada1 Lol there is no rivalry until both sides have victories. Penn State has 8 AAs, 6 finalists, 4 champs, and destroys the field. Have won five in a row, 13 overall. And this year it was more obvious that the other schools were stalling to keep it close.

Let the debate begin! Would you rather have: 1. National team title, scoring record and 4 champs + 2 runner ups; or, 2. 3 true freshman natty champs? Regardless, and despite a 50 point advantage for Penn State, the rivalry has now truly begun. Gonna be a really fun few years for us fans!

@NCAAWrestling It's interesting, as fans, we want stalling called more, and then when it's called, we whine. More stalling should've been called over these three days. Too many examples from many wrestlers to cite.

@NCAAWrestling How is someone like McGowan upset with losing when he knows he stalled the whole time? Backing up, going to knees, holding fingers... Does he think he deserved to win?

It’s just wrestling. On January 4th Gabe Arnold wrestled in the finals at the Soldier Salute at 174 pounds. Less than 10 days later Iowa would lose Endene off the roster, and Ferrari sidelined due to injury shortly after. Arnold filled in at 184 until Ferrari’s return, then moved up to fill the hole at 197. He came into the NCAA’s the 27 seed and is now an All-American.

@CPyles8 First, Robideau should have been called for stalling with the fingers, second, for being out shot by Duke by A LOT, and they should've let the cradle play out... If we want to get better as a sport with need to change the referee situation.. It's too noticeable.

@the_churchnews What does the LDS Church normally do on Palm Sunday? It is Sunday, and a very significant moment leading up to and through Holy Week. Why wouldn’t there be a service?

The First Presidency has announced that on Palm Sunday this year, local congregations will hold a one-hour sacrament meeting. Easter Sunday this year, on April 5, falls on the same Sunday as the Church’s general conference. The letter states that Palm Sunday, Easter and general conference are “wonderful opportunities” to commemorate the Savior’s Atonement and Resurrection. In temple news, ground was broken this weekend for two houses of the Lord, one in Jacksonville Florida and one in João Pessoa, Brazil. The Jacksonville temple’s groundbreaking comes just five months after another groundbreaking in Florida, for the Tampa Florida Temple. This is the first time that two Florida temples are in their construction phase at the same time.

The Church doesn’t need new schools, new curriculum, or new youth programs. The Church needs parents who are locked in and show what it looks like to: – Follow Jesus – Love your spouse – Seek truth – Understand context – Live covenants It’s the parents, not the programs.

Wait… he didn’t say we’re supposed to spend our time yelling and condemning every politician we don’t like? Weird. I could’ve sworn that was in there. Great speech. Thanks for sharing. I am going to re-listen to every talk and speech he has given. I did that with President Hinckley, President Nelson (almost finished before he passed), and Elder Neal Maxwell. The journey begins!

@ATrueMillennial I love this! And the reason I love this is because this family figured out something that works for them. Always be open to the Spirit.

Our speaker this Sunday said he told his missionary son to stop calling home: "I'm sorry if I offend some of you younger folks, but missions are frankly way easier than they used to be. I can't speak for everyone, but I think it's hard for my son to truly 'leave home' when he's video calling us every P-Day. With that much access to us, he tends to mainly vent and complain. "That's not the mission experience I want for him. So while he's welcome to email / FB message us every week, I've asked him personally to follow the previous policy of calling home only on Christmas and Mother's Day." It's already having an impact. His son recently messaged him, thanking him: "I'm more reliant on God and try to have that stronger connection. Instead of running to y'all for the answer, I'm running to our Father in Heaven." No one is saying this is a one-size-fits-all solution. But this son in this family will have a much better mission experience because this Dad was inspired to cut the umbilical cord and teach his son to "forget himself and get to work."
