The difference between Republicans and Democrats in Congress is that Republicans don’t use their power when we have it, while Democrats will literally do anything to gain and retain power forever.
Right now, our GOP-controlled Senate and House could be putting MAGA bills — starting with the SAVE America Act — on the floor every single day, forcing the Democrats to show how out of touch they are with Americans.
We have the power to do that right now, so why aren't we?
If the tables turn, not only will the Democrats force Republicans to vote on their radical agendas, they will use their majority to make sure they keep their power forever.

Senate Republicans never had any intention of passing the Save America Act. And there will likely not be any other votes of consequence between now and the midterms.
Make no mistake, John Thune and his leadership team have betrayed the American people and their president. And they don't care - not one bit. They sabotaged the president's agenda - from day one. Their behavior may likely cost Republicans the House and the Senate. And they deserve to lose.
However, President Trump does not deserve to be impeached and that's exactly what would happen if the Democrats regained control. So, we can't let that happen -- for Donald Trump's sake.
Let's spare President Trump and the First Lady the agony of endless investigations and trumped up charges. Reelect the gutless guttersnipes.
We can deal with the jackassery of Thune and his cowardly band of traitors in 2028.
Our president deserved better. And so did America First voters. We got screwed by the Republicans.

Fortunately, President Trump and Republicans thought about this last year when we pre-funded ICE for several years in the Working Family Tax Cuts act knowing that the Democrats would probably pull a stunt like this

The DHS deal under consideration would fund all of DHS except for ICE's deportation wing, known as ERO (Enforcement & Removal Operations). Those are the frontline ICE agents you see. ICE has two major branches, ERO and HSI (Homeland Security Investigations). HSI typically focuses on human trafficking, sex trafficking, human smuggling etc. though the Trump administration has been using them for immigration enforcement as well. It sounds like HSI would be funded under this deal, but ERO would not. (ERO is funded with OBBB money through 2029, but their civilian support staff are not.) Democrats would not get the major reforms they had been demanding (unmasking, judicial warrants, etc) as part of this deal. Thoughts?

One compromise/ reform that could end the standoff of DHS funding: ICE agents henceforth won’t wear masks in any situation where other law enforcement officers don’t wear masks, courthouses, the streets of our cites, etc.
Masks are reserved for the lawless zone along the border where the cartels dominate.
