I know you look at the NEW #nerd stats to grade a players value but that isn’t how those of us who have actually played in the @MLB see it. We use our eyes and our experience. You haven’t pointed out that in 2023 he did have (173) K’s in only (463) AB’s. That’s not good btw. Clearly he has made an effort to reduce his K’s and OMG he’s hitting for a higher batting average and has become a really good player. Unlike your boy Jose Siri unfortunately. 🤷🏼‍♂️

If we kept track of the incoming baseball freshmen players this fall, what percentage do we think would stay at their school for all 4 years? Not saying good or bad, but would be in interesting to see. I wonder if the NCAA keeps track of this.

My entire @MLB career was played during the STEROID ERA! I never really thought about it much but is it fair to compare my STATS to players who were bigger, stronger and on the JUICE? Now not everyone was on STEROIDS but many were obviously. Shouldn’t the players who weren’t on STEROIDS be applauded for not cheating the game? Why are we instead criticized for not putting up disingenuous STATS only made possible through chemical enhancement? When our coaches told us to do something we did it! You didn’t dare question them.
