@MicrosoftHelps how do I get help? You logged me out of my Microsoft account due to suspicious activity. I've gone through the recovery process - you say you'll review in 24 hrs and get back to me, mate, it's been days, 10 of them in fact! How do I get a human to help me?

In the recovery process I put in incorrect data, I get an auto reply in ~5 mins, saying its wrong. Okay, try again, get the info correct, and don't get a reply. I understand if the info is correct, the computer sends it to a human to check, how long do I wait for this human?

@farmboyG Go on, be a summer cropper. Put some millet in. Bound to make it dry out for for the summer! Forecast from a fortnight ago - out already?

@Matt_Champness @ryan_milgate 18yo priorities v.s. 57yo 20/20 hindsight. Would have probably cost $80/100K & at the time the bank wouldn't let me borrow $500 for a car. A mate lent me the money & I paid him back over a few of months. The bank did have an option of getting a bankcard with about 18% interest🤪

First house I lived in after school. 2 bdrm with outside bathroom/dunny. It was pretty rough. Rent was $50 & I was taking home $95.

@dyerjonathan Good background N and a cool dry ( but just enough moisture) finish after frost is what I am leaning towards.

A few firsts for 2024 harvest- wheat test weight at 86 🤷‍♂️, barley screenings at 0.3%, 90% retention in Barley, all wheat graded as APH1/2, wheat protein average >14% all from the one farm, protein topping at 15.1%. Those are stats I have never seen before 🤔🤷‍♂️ #ausag #harvest24

Talk about modern efficiencies - using AI to translate a presentation whilst on hooked into @Qantas onboard wifi flying over Katherine NT. But still using a USB because, well, I’m a laggard!

@GeezaColeman Rice weeds naturally selected to look like rice early in development due to centuries of hand weeding…. You’re doing it much quicker with chemistry and cameras!

Differences in architecture are pretty astounding. After two gens of selection based on a wheat-ryegrass classification algorithm. Left - wheat mimic, right opposite directional selection for ryegrass-looking-ryegrass

@GeezaColeman @phil_honey @AmberB_C @EsriTraining It’s somewhat new (wasn’t an option 5 years ago. I found out last year. But was too deep down the qgis rabbit warren to switch. But probably justified at those prices if you’re at the starting point.

Are there any open source programs for processing harvester yield map data for a paddock? 🤓 #AskX @GeezaColeman

@AmberB_C @phil_honey @GeezaColeman I taught myself QGIS because it’s free. Others prefer ARCGIS. I understand why. But when you leave an institution to another who doesn’t subscribe… it gets costly

@phil_honey @AmberB_C @GeezaColeman Yes what Phil said - use sms basic. You might be about to get a trial week/month (used to be able to I know), or find a friendly agro to do that let for you.

Yep, SMS to convert JD file to shape or csv or text. Once it’s in that format, you’re free to use in arcGis or qgis. Depending on what you’re trying to achieve, you might be able to cover all you need to achieve inside SMS itself. If using shape file exports, you’ll need to use/copy all associated files such as .shx .dbf and prj otherwise file won’t work on its own.

@GeezaColeman @AmberB_C Qgis is free! And then can split field up and look at diff areas/trts etc. In the olden days I used YouTube 🤣. Now, chat gpt etc and when it fails, back to YouTubing.

@AmberB_C I think the closest thing that comes to mind is QGIS and I reckon @Matt_Champness would know more! But this is a bit outside my wheelhouse.

Far too long since my last kanelsnegl og rugbrød 🇩🇰 Very much looking forward to the next 3.5 years as a postdoc with @KU_PLEN in Denmark working on the OpenWeedLocator and adaptation of weeds to image-based detection. Plus getting back to learning Danish again.

Beautiful countryside in Chianti region of Tuscany, with 80% of vineyard organic, but some interesting ‘sustainable’ agricultural practices in the broadacre! Serious horsepower being used to get through this platy soil! Going against all things you taught us @DrJasonCondon!

Flicking back through the phone to free up storage before next adventure. Why don’t all countries have rocket festivals with copious amounts of cheap beer and we all ride motorbikes home? 🤔 Sth Laos 2019.
