I have had some time to think about this and while the Pirates absolutely made progress this offseason a lot of it feels negated because of how they treated Andrew McCutchen. It is not about him not wearing the uniform more about being honest with him.

@KDPomp Glad they made the change last year to shorten pro-am to the first 2 days and eliminate Monterey Peninsula from the rotation. Spyglass for 1 round and Pebble for 3 is perfect. Curious to see if guys take Rory’s strategy last year and turn this into a bomb and wedge fest.

This signing of Ozuna likely ends Andrew McCutchen era in Pittsburgh. If it is, It should have ended in a much better fashion given how important McCutchen has been here.

As the dominoes continue to fall, I don't think LIV is dying. LIV cannot die so long as the PIF continues to throw money at it. Brooks and Reed have sent a very clear message now, though: "You couldn't pay me enough to play exhibition golf around the globe." LIV players are tolerating this format because they've been paid a salary they never thought would be possible as a professional golfer. It continues to baffle me why the few LIV fans still out there choose to support something the players themselves are reluctant to participate in.

More importantly, it's time to show ourselves. Now, justice requires full, fair, and transparent investigations into the deaths of the two Americans who lost their lives in the city they called home. Jill and I are sending strength to the families and communities who love Alex Pretti and Renee Good as we all mourn their senseless deaths.
