Iran just fired two ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia. This is a UK-US base that sits right opposite Iran in the Indian Ocean. Strike was likely in response to UK saying today that US can use British bases to strike Iran (they already were, but the govt were lying).

The Iranian government was doing kiddie-pool mischief — the sort of shit that happens on a daily basis ‘everywhere’, doing things that virtually everyone engages in.
Not one, but ‘2’ US allies are in the middle of conducting or running ethnic cleansing campaigns that’ve been bloodier than Iran’s internal repression campaign ‘right now.’
The notion that Iran’s behavior has been so uniquely terrible as to justify expending tens of billions of dollars of ordinance, and to shave several percentage points off of ‘everyone’s’ GDPs doesn’t just strain credulity, it’s detached from reality.
