We went to Vietnam this May and were on a similar speedboat in Phu Quoc. Even during summer, the sea was quite rough - look at the video, and the boatman told us that the tides and waves become much stronger and more dangerous during the monsoon season from June to October. It is scary to watch today's news from Phu Quoc, where a boat capsized and 15 Indians reportedly lost their lives. My thoughts are with the victims and their families.

If a firefighter can’t save every house, do you stop paying the fire department? Congratulations. You just created a financial incentive to avoid the sickest patients. Trauma. Septic shock. Massive heart attacks. Terminal cancer. Every high-risk emergency becomes a liability. Hospitals will stop admitting patients needing emergency care and who is going to suffer the most: THE COMMON PEOPLE OF THE STATE. Hospitals don’t guarantee life. They fight for it. Don’t punish doctors and hospitals for death. Fix insurance. Strengthen public healthcare.
