After wishing a fond farewell to @Prosperity_Inst , with great gratitude for my time there, I am very pleased to have joined the policy team at Reform UK. My first week was one to remember as the turquoise tide swept the country. Reform replaced Labour and the Tories in their heartlands, from Barnsley to Essex. After decades of decline under uniparty rule, the British people finally have a party of true national preference. I am proud to be part of it. Knocking on doors last week, I was repeatedly told, “Don’t let us down.” People have been let down for too long. I’m excited to help build a deliverable plan that Britain can trust in whenever the next election comes. 🇬🇧

After a very long night at the count, I am absolutely delighted that the people of the Highlands and Islands, my home, have put their trust in me and Reform to represent their interests in the Scottish Parliament.

Good morning 🌅, today is POLLING DAY. Go and vote for Reform on both the purple constituency ballot and the peach regional ballot. Here in Moray, we have the opportunity for a historic result. After 20 years of this rotten SNP government, it’s time for change and Reform.

Final bit of campaigning in Findhorn earlier. If elected on Friday as an MSP I will stand against nonsense net zero projects like Moray FLOW Park. It’s bad for the fishermen, bad for the environment and not wanted by local people.

@Anns_Annt Hi Ann, unsurprisingly I don't agree with you about who is best placed to win. However please can I make it very clear that I have no intention of "disappearing". If the SNP do win here but I am returned as an MSP via the list then I will be fighting very hard for Moray.

@Max4Moray If Max doesn't win and splits the vote he will disappear leaving us with SNP again. I hope all voters will be happy as he will not care. We have the chance for change but Max is not the person to do it.

The rising cost of living is on everyone’s minds. But gimmicky freebies and price caps just won’t cut it. What people really need is more money, to spend how they think best. Which is why I want to lower all Scottish income taxes below England’s, giving Scots a pay-rise by allowing them to keep more of what they earn. That means an extra £735 per year for a Police Constable with five years of experience, or over £2,000 for one with ten. It means an extra £2,200 for a resident doctor with five years of experience, or over £5,000 for a GP or a hospital consultant. It means an extra £2,000 for a teacher with five years of experience, and over £1,900 for an experienced senior nurse. And so on throughout the whole of Scotland’s economy, rewarding people for working hard and gaining experience, and encouraging those with valuable experience in our public services not to retire early or cut back their hours. I am deeply concerned about the massive pollution incident on the River Spey, resulting in catastrophic damage to the natural environment and fatal to local wildlife. SEPA needs to get to the bottom of this and quickly - totally unacceptable.

How has the party of Alex Salmond so firmly turned its back on aspiration, becoming indistinguishable from the Greens? After inflation, and if it’s based on home report valuations, in 2028 this so-called “mansion tax” would hit every home you could currently list for offers over £900k. If it’s based on typical sales values, probably less. But in Edinburgh & Glasgow that doesn’t get you a “mansion”. That gets you a home fit for a family in a quiet area with low crime and a good school, usually in a terrace or a semi-detached. This is a Terrace Tax, punishing thousands of families with mortgages, and pensioners enjoying the fruits of their long careers – an extra bill for them to pay, regardless of how much they earn. And how sorry a state we’re in, that in England a “mansion” taxed by Labour is worth double that of the SNP’s Scotland! Enough of this ideology of impoverishment. What I want for Scotland is a politics of plenty, where a good, comfortable life is attainable and encouraged for all. …and sorry Mr Swinney. Nice try, but I’ve no jets!
