After wishing a fond farewell to @Prosperity_Inst , with great gratitude for my time there, I am very pleased to have joined the policy team at Reform UK. My first week was one to remember as the turquoise tide swept the country. Reform replaced Labour and the Tories in their heartlands, from Barnsley to Essex. After decades of decline under uniparty rule, the British people finally have a party of true national preference. I am proud to be part of it. Knocking on doors last week, I was repeatedly told, “Don’t let us down.” People have been let down for too long. I’m excited to help build a deliverable plan that Britain can trust in whenever the next election comes. 🇬🇧

Thrilled to announce that James Graham has joined Reform UK as Policy Adviser. James comes to us from the Prosperity Institute, where he established himself as one of the most incisive analysts of financial regulation. He has a strikingly broad range of policy interests and his record speaks for itself. His recent paper - “The Death of the Fiduciary Duty” - set out the definitive case for restoring shareholder primacy and reforming s172 of the Companies Act. His work on the Local Government Pension Scheme exposed how £450 billion of working people’s retirement savings has been quietly diverted into political projects rather than maximising returns. He has been pivotal in the public campaign against debanking and he is a penetrating critic of the FCA’s drift into activism. Born and raised in Northern Ireland, James brings a sharp understanding of the economic challenges it’s facing and a deep commitment to the Union. We’re delighted to have him on the policy team.

Five cabinet ministers would have lost their seats if the general election was held last Thursday. No wonder Labour are in yet another crisis. newstatesman.com/politics/uk-po…

🚨NEW: Net party losses/gains: ➡️ REF: +395 🔸 LDM: +35 🌍 GRN: +27 ⚪️ OTH: -28 🌳 CON: -170 🌹 LAB: -257

Result in the Wigan wards that make up Lisa Nandy’s Westminster constituency. 22pt Labour to Reform swing from the GE to this set of locals.

Reform’s Malcolm Offord hasn’t quite grasped his new party’s policy. Yusuf says the camps - and deportations - are intended for every single undocumented person. Between 1m and 2m Most are currently working, paying rent. So this goes beyond small boats thetimes.com/article/282d82…
