The Timberwolves are the best basketball fit for LeBron James. C: Gobert / Beringer F: LeBron / Green F: McDaniels / Shannon G: Edwards / Dosunmu G: LaMelo / Hyland That's a filthy 10-man rotation. Everyone in the rotation besides the centers can create their own shot. They'd basically be upgrading Conley with LaMelo and Randle with LeBron. With Zikarsky, Evans, Clark, and Pullin as young depth pieces and a possible DDV return late in the year, they'd also have a deep bench. Of course, LeBron may not want to live in Minnesota. And he may not want to be the third ball handler behind Ball and Edwards. There are other factors at play. But purely from a basketball perspective, with LeBron added, this Timberwolves team might just be the favorite.

Why I think the Celtics finish as the No. 1 seed: • A healthy Jayson Tatum with a higher usage rate could put up Jokic-level impact. His playmaking took a huge leap last season, and I think it climbs another level. • Derrick White’s shooting bounces back. • Paul George gives them 55–60 quality games and fits seamlessly. • Payton Pritchard takes another jump. I could see something like 20 PPG, 7 APG, 5 RPG if he’s in a larger role. • Baylor Scheierman and Hugo González make noticeable second-year leaps. • Mitchell Robinson gives Boston the offensive rebounding they’ve been missing. • And the depth is as good as anyone’s. My biggest 2026-27 concern in a Brown-George swap is, if and when Jayson Tatum misses time, Jaylen Brown has proven he can carry the Celtics any given night. He’s a high caliber All-Star in his prime. Can Paul George do that at 36, even when healthy? I’ve got serious doubts.
