Vintage toys are having a moment. You better look in your closet and attic! You might have gold. Don’t sleep on this category. Graded toys are absolutely hitting right now in the collector community. 1) Nostalgia plays a role. 2) Lifelong fandom and community paired with decades of toys being overlooked / undervalued. 3) Grading coming into prominence across many critical categories beyond trading cards including albums, scripts, magazines, tickets and toys! 4) Licensing truly hit all cylinders in the 1980’s. @JeremyCom Jeremy been a believer, going after as many afa 80 or higher g1 early transformers. Have since added 1 more to this photo. The optimus version I have last sold for over 9k, Megatron 4.2k and Prowl highest of its grade over 4.8k

When I originally created WWE Classic Superstars in 2003, it was truly meant to be the very first ever mass collectible figure line focused on adult collectors. I knew it was a risk, but as a collector I just believed there was a market. It’s satisfying that 20 years later, this line has become celebrated and valuable. Last night a Hulk Hogan 1:100 just sold for $10,300 on Goldin. This is huge news for wrestling figure collectors. It’s still a far shot from what I’m seeing in Kenner Star Wars and MOTU, but this is likely indicative of the future of high end, high grade, scarce vintage toys. We aren’t long from the first million dollar pro wrestling collectible trading card. My money is (literally) on the 1981 Hogan Popy PSA 10 rookie or the 1973 Wrestling Superstars Andre the Giant PSA 10. But don’t sleep on graded, scarce action figures!
