@shipstationhelp @shipstation getting 504 bad gateway error messages. Keeps logging out. This is ruining our shipping day. If you are actively deploying your new site layout in the afternoon of the work week, please stop. That’s insane.

@Charalanahzard Actors in scary movies can’t be at the screening. Too scary. Like what if movie is life? No. Sorry.

@jpbrammer While I think there’s something very true about casual dominance, I think what might be missing for me is that a vast amount of rural people don’t have money to do so, and quite literally live in areas that have not been “tamed” whatsoever. They’re exposed to every weather event.
English

@jpbrammer I went off the rails on a tangent that wasn’t entirely related.
Basically rural America deeply gives a shit about climate change, there’s a lot more interest than ever. But the left does an awful job of turning that into policy support, and so RFK jr and “naturalists” grab them
English

not really. I think some people might confuse the cultural trappings of rural areas (which often express a strong relationship with the environment and with animals) for a respect for nature, but the dynamic is still one of casual dominance

Spend any time in a rural area and you will find they care far more (and more genuinely) about most environmental issues than folks in cities.

@jpbrammer Basically city left-leaning foodies went from being interested in directly where their food came from, and more interested in the certifications, ethical pledges, macros, etc in an effort to get “ethical and optimized” consumption.
Yay for tech!

@jpbrammer A decade ago portlandia had the sketch about the hipster couple wanting to know everything about their chicken they’re about to eat, but now “farm-to-table” is much less left, and much more right/libertarian and that shift happened really fast.
