Flortaucipir PET has limited ability to detect PART Very important study by the Mayo Clinic group using an impressive post-mortem dataset of 248 individuals who underwent Tau (and amyloid) PET ~2 years prior to death. Among many interesting results, this study convincingly demonstrated that Flortaucipir PET can not be used to detect primary age-related tauopathy (PART) in vivo. Excited to share the first paper from our lab! tinyurl.com/5n7fvwvh We engineered a new kind of time-gated calcium integrator, CaST, that can rapidly and non-invasively tag activated neurons in vivo with a small, biochemical handle. What makes this tool special and unique? 1/6

Hi #PathTwitter & #Neuropath Twitter, I’m working on some content highlighting women who have been pioneers or leaders in neuropathology. Unfortunately, google is turning up empty, which breaks my heart. Anyone who should be on my list?
