Berlin's Christopher Street Day is an expression of protest that celebrates the many identities in society that continue to be rendered invisible. That makes the July 25 attack all the more alarming. I challenge all the "trans women are women" and "trans men are men"- believers to examine that statement even just slightly. Why are TW women? What do they have in common with all other women? Is it some bodily characteristic? Personality trait? Self-expression? Weigh those thoughts against what you know about biology and the sociology of sexist norms and stereotypes. What does a western trans woman have in common with an oppressed Afghani woman? For both to be women, they have to be alike in some way that could be defined as "womanhood". Think about the mantra's you're saying. Apply logic and critical thought to it. Don't accept anything as truth just because you're afraid of being labeled a bigot and shunned if you don't.

Circe, Calypso, Charybdis etc. are classic Nolan female chaos dragons. Penelope’s weaving is not dwelled upon. The costumes look good.
