@mirtle yeah, no shit Tre. Nice man, for sure. But one of the most overrated GMs in NHL history. Almost as bad as Dubas.

Jimmy Lai is a political prisoner facing life in prison under Hong Kong’s draconian national security law. He sits in a shoebox cell with failing health and is even denied the Eucharist that sustains his faith. Jimmy Lai needs to be freed before it’s too late.

UK Muslim Murder House: 41 Dogs Starved, Tortured To Death They tried to chew their own legs off they were so hungry. How can any human do this? UPDATE 2026: The Muslim man admitted guilt and was sentenced today. On February 20, 2026, a court sent him to prison for five years. Be warned. This is a disgusting story. Police found a scene of extreme horror at a fake animal rescue in Essex. They discovered 41 dead dogs. The bodies formed a mass graveyard. Maggots and rats infested the remains. Twenty-one live dogs and one cat hid in dirty pens. These pens had no food or water. A vet smelled rotting flesh from 40 meters away. Exams after death showed starvation killed most dogs. Some had chewed on wood or their own legs out of hunger. Oaveed Rahman, 26, ran this fake place called Save A Paw UK. He admitted to harming the animals and to 11 fraud charges. He also owned a banned XL bully dog. The court banned him from owning animals for life. Let us be honest. He received too short of a sentence. The raid happened on May 13, 2025. It was at Rahman’s home on Hope Road in Crays Hill, Billericay. Police first found 37 dead dogs. They lay in overgrown fields and old buildings. In June 2025, they found four more during another search. They had to tear down a shed to get them. The live animals lived in spaces with no air flow. Dead bodies surrounded them. Many dogs were thin and dry. Some were so scared that the RSPCA had to put them down. Superintendent Leigh Norris has 30 years on the job. He called this the worst animal abuse he has seen. He spoke of the strong smell and the huge scale of harm. Rahman put ads on social media and sites like Gumtree. He promised good training and new homes for pets. People from all over the UK paid him. Some paid up to 500 pounds per dog. They gave him pets like old Labradors or young puppies. Families did this because of hard times. But Rahman took the money and lied. He made fake papers. He stopped answering calls. One owner, Caroline Park, gave him her dogs Deebo and Demon. She lost touch. Deebo went to someone else without her okay. No one knows what happened to Demon. This hurt many families. Judge Richard Conley called it a betrayal of epic size. It ruined many lives. Some wrongs cannot be fixed, he said. At Basildon Crown Court, Rahman spoke from prison by video. He got 38 months for hurting the animals. That runs after 22 months for each fraud. The fraud times run together. He got three months for the XL bully. That runs with the others. Total time is five years. Victims cried in court. Online, people said he should rot in jail. Groups plan to spread word of his crimes. Essex Police worked with the RSPCA and Basildon Council. They followed tips from Action Fraud. The probe took months. It led to Rahman’s arrest. Another man got arrested too but went free on bail. This story shows big problems with views on dogs in Islam. Most Muslims see dogs as dirty. They call them najis, which means unclean. Hadiths say dog spit makes things impure. You must wash a dish seven times if a dog licks it. The eighth wash uses dirt. Muslims hate having them as pets. Almost all Muslims feel this way. It comes from their "holy" texts. Rahman comes from this background. His Islamic death cult-like views clash with how Brits love dogs like family. May this man burn in hell for all eternity for what he has done here.

I was going through the Flames draft history and found a big swing and miss in 2022 The Calgary #Flames drafted Topi Ronni with the 59th overall pick. Three picks later the Montreal Canadiens selected Lane Hutson. It seems like these things happen a lot to the Calgary #Flames

Why were they allowed into Canada? Canada's mass immigrated the world's filth then surprised why everything is turning into sh!t. We don't and shouldn't be living in a country like this.

If you're upset at the lack of an extension hurting the value the Flames got tonight, remember they chose to hold Andersson at last year's deadline when extensions aren't even an option. It's a nice return for a rental, but if/when Raz signs in VGK this Spring... Yikes.

@EricFrancis Not Anderson's fault. He earned the right to decide his fate. It's just poor asset management by the Flames and ownership constantly trying to be the 8th seed team but failed every time.

Conroy said five teams were involved in trying to obtain Andersson, but when his agent informed the Flames this morning he wouldn't sign an extension anywhere several teams dropped out, others reduced their offers. Andersson would not give the Flames a number, in terms of what it would take to re-sign him in Calgary.

If the Flames are where they appear to be with Andersson - near trading him - would maybe make sense to NOT play him? Risk/reward on playing ain’t great. Unless they think this weeks away from happening, which … is that it?
