@TJLarkin23 For the app, the goal is to make it useful enough for people to keep coming back regularly. Mine focuses on local businesses and restaurants by cuisine, local news, events, and local jobs. The idea is to make it a go-to local resource rather than something people download once.

Yep, full local media brand is the play. A newsletter is just one piece. App is potentially a good idea, if you have something valuable enough with it to get people to use it. I haven't come up with anything I think would get people excited to use an app. But would love to find it!
