In this forthcoming book with @UNC_Press, Mbaye Lo and Carl Ernst write Omar Ibn Said, the author of the only known autobiography in Arabic by an enslaved person in the US, back into history. This story is going to be a game changer and I cannot wait to see it exist in the world.
