Bravo, Congressman! I hope you and your fellow @thepromise2026 signatories will lead our party back to sanity---and electoral success!---by standing up for women and girls.

The especially distressing part of this is that the fringes of the two parties are a meager 7–9% of the country each. Even if you count the next most-partisan blocs, you still only get to ~18–21% each. That leaves ~62% of the country that isn't really being represented.

In the wake of the SCOTUS ruling on women's sports, it is more than a little worth noting that the entire narrative (from advocacy orgs, mainstream media and Democrat leaders) was centered on the supposed harm to boys who identify as girls. No one noted it as a major civil rights win for women and girls. Pathetic.

As a conservative-leaning Christian, I just want to stop to acknowledge that today’s SCOTUS victory for women’s sports would not have happened without the tireless efforts of a lot of very brave radical feminist women who ought to be applauded.

It's really egregious. Shame on these outlets!

All students *still do* have the opportunity to participate in sports regardless of their gender identity. What they don't have is a right to choose the categories they participate in, whether age, weight or sex.

@BevJacksonAuth @Scotus You're right. It's a good step, but definitely not the end of the fight. Blue state girls and women deserve fair and safe sports, too! (and private locker rooms)

It seems @scotus knows that women’s and girls’ sport may legitimately be maintained for women and girls only on the basis of Title IX rights. So states are allowed to divide sports on that basis. Yippee… I haven’t read the ruling yet but it seems states that want to carry on allowing men and boys to participate in women’s and girls’ sport can do so. Are we supposed to be celebrating?

@DarrenWStaley @mattyglesias Work on your reading comprehension. Every female athlete is affected when males are allowed in their category.

The conventional wisdom in Dem politics is that the sports issue is simultaneously trivial and also so important that you can’t compromise with public opinion on it.

@DarrenWStaley @mattyglesias "It affects so few people" only if you don't count the 3-4 million female American athletes affected by who qualifies for their category in sports.

@mattyglesias I think you are misreading it a little, or that Dems are not explaining their (our) position clearly: this is something that affects so few people that it should easily be handled at a more local level, while also acknowledging that the people it does affect are human beings.

Today you will read many sympathetic media stories about B.P.J., the male athlete who challenged WV’s law and lost at SCOTUS. I’m guessing none will mention that B.P.J. defeated 470+ girls 1,400+ times (including a state title) and sexually harassed our client Adaleia (pictured) in the girls’ locker room. Sadly, Adaleia stopped playing the school sports she loved due to B.P.J.’s ongoing presence in girls’ sports and spaces. But we’ll probably be lucky if those girls get even a passing mention—let alone a front-page photo. This has been the pattern on this issue from far too many institutions of power. Boys’ feelings are the focus. Girls’ safety, fairness, and opportunity take a back seat.
 I’m so thankful today that the Supreme Court reversed that pattern, acknowledged the reality of biological sex, and remembered the girls.

Releasing this decision on the last day of Pride is a deliberate act of cruelty toward transgender Americans. Today, SCOTUS helped codify sweeping overreach into law. Trump didn’t spotlight this issue because he wants solutions; he’s on a crusade to erase trans kids from public life and keep Americans divided. These blanket bans go way too far, targeting recreational athletes who just want to play with their friends, invading their privacy, and letting the government micromanage local schools. To the trans community feeling the weight of this decision today: you belong, you are valued, and I will always fight for your right to exist safely.

This judgement should also end the debate as to who started the "Culture War". "The ordinary meaning of the term “sex” at the time of enactment in the early 1970s was biological sex and not gender identity." This was war started by those wanting to change the culture.

We won but we are far from done. 23 states are still not going to protect women's sports. States CAN but they don't have to. Let's go. Let's get this done.

If nothing else, the entire trans project shows how much women are reviled & how little our rights and boundaries are respected. It demonstrates so clearly how much significance is given to the desires and demands of men & how little is given to the safety and dignity of women.

“Why is this important? What am I here to tell you? If the state can force you to accept men as women, they can force you to accept anything. Freedom of speech, belief & association are the bedrock of a free society but they are in direct conflict with transgender ideology.”

I take issue with the framing of this article. The so-called “moderate Democrats” still say that men are women if they say so, and there is nothing moderate about denying the material reality of sex. The so-called “progressives” are a bunch of sexist, homophobic, authoritarian bullies, and there is nothing progressive about any of that.

"I learned the behavior." "Trans" is sex-role stereotypes. They say it right out loud.

I’m baaaaaaaack! After one long month of doing everything I could to get my account back and tearing my hair out, some lovely people put me directly in touch with X Support staff who could actually do something about it.
