We are continuing to appeal for information 11 years after the murder of a teenager in #Wavertree. At around 8.30pm on Saturday 7 February 2015 officers were called to reports of a male being shot at the junction of Smithdown Road and Holmes Street. When they arrived at the scene officers found 17-year-old Kevin Wilson who had been shot in the back. The officers performed CPR on Kevin until paramedics arrived and he was then taken to the Royal University Hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. Since his death a number of arrests have been made but to date nobody has been charged with his murder. Howard Rubbery, Head of the Serious Crime Review Unit, said: “Eleven years is a long time for Kevin’s family to go without answers. “We know that somebody somewhere has the key to solving Kevin’s murder and may not previously had the courage to speak up. To that person or persons I would say ‘please do the right thing’. Come forward and speak to us or if you don’t want to speak to the police then contact Crimestoppers anonymously and tell them what you know. “It may only take the smallest piece of information to lead us to who was responsible and bring them to justice. “We know that people can be reluctant or fearful in coming forward, but please be rest assured there are special measures that we can put in place to protect witnesses. If you have any information, please DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact @CrimestoppersUK anonymously via social media, by calling 0800 555 111 or via their online form at: crimestoppers-uk.org/give-informati….”
