@JosiahHuggins1 @1984_nate It's metaphor for death bound or not bound to obey The widow living in pleasure is said to be DEAD while living, meaning she is death-bound though still loving. Believers are DEAD to sin, meaning they are not bound to obeysin, not that they are incapable of sin.

Dead men don't do anything but in scripture dead people do lots of things. Why? Because dead is metaphorical, not literal. But Calvinists NEED it to be corpse like unable to respond. Why? So their eisegesis can work. Let the reader COMPREHEND.

@1984_nate I’m not going to assume you have bad faith, I’m just going to assume your comprehension levels are low. Previsionists believe the gospel is for you, you just have to choose it. My Bible says you can’t choose god and that you are dead. How do dead men choose God?

@1984_nate Many have been misled to think that a person becones a believer once they believe and remains so ever if they no longer believe, such that everything assured to believers remain assured to them irreversibly. They do not know that you are a believer only while you believe.

@DrFisura @1984_nate So what? You think God not being able to deny himself mean he cannot deny you if you deny him? God cannot deny himself means he cannot be untrue to his character no matter what. This means he will deny those who deny him even if they once confessed him and he confessed them.

@1984_nate @TradReform Actually, they don't know. Like I said once, we have a crisis of comprehension on our hands. They have a logic system that's messed up. So the way to extrapolate is warped. They are not deliberately doing it. What needs fixing is their logical framework for extrapolating ideas.

@TrygstadBryan @1984_nate Why are you wilfully missing his point? His point is that the passage says the believer was raised - given life - with Christ, not so as he may be capable of faith, but THROUGH faith. This means that the believer had to have faith in place in order to be raised - given life.

@1984_nate Who or what raised Jesus from the dead? The Father or Jesus' faith? v. 13 Who/what made us alive, our faith or God? v. 14 Forgave our sin, cancelled our debt, took away our condemnation, ALL nailed to the cross! When we were DEAD! (v.13) As always, being made alive is all God!

In 2 Cor. 5 the message of reconciliation that we preach to all is that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them. If you don't believe Christ died for all then you cannot give this message honestly. Let the reader understand.

@1984_nate Gal. 2:16 - "Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith OF Jesus Christ", Rom. 3:22 - "Even the righteousness of God which is by faith OF Jesus Christ unto all..." Gal. 3:21-22 the promise by faith OF Jesus Christ might be given..." Just saying.

Literally nowhere in any of these passages is the faith spoken of said to be Christ's faith. It was Abraham's act of believing, his faith.
Trad Reform@TradReform

@CauseToKnow @1984_nate How does an unrighteous person become a righteous person, according to the Scriptures? By faith, but that faith isn’t ours, it’s Christ’s, given by God in his grace (Romans 3-5, Ephesians 2).

@1984_nate Like I've always maintained, we have a crisis of comprehension on our hands. Many simple truths have been corrupted by the lack of good grasp of simple English grammar by saints. This is why I have been advocating for better grammar comprehension for sound Scripture understanding

@OlabisiZoey This bone of contention is not that salvation is not eternal but that it is not eternal yet the moment a person believes. It is after you have continued till the end that you receive it completely. Before then, you can be disqualified.

@Chainsaw59598 @1984_nate God did't ordain evil into men's hearts in order to determine for Jesus to be killed by them. They had harbored the desire since his first year but could not actualize it because Jesus did not give himself to it, not until. God instructed him to not evade them anymore.

@1984_nate Actually it says in 2:23 that Jesus was slain by "wicked hands." Their position makes God's hands the wicked hands. 2:23 also explains that God's plan was for Jesus to be "delivered" over to them, not that God did it Himself.

"Including every evil act of the men." Literally nowhere to be found in Acts 4:28. I just wish Calvinists could see that this is their INTERPRETATION and not what the text says.

@ContraYoshi @1984_nate There is faith as a capacity and there is faith as an act or exercise. God can give you sight (capacity to see) and you would still choose not to see. God can give you persuasion and you would choose to not exercise it toward Jesus. Faith exercised is what saves.

@egi_nupe I doubt the sincerity of the governor. Why does he not first outlaw it in his state and set the ball rolling. Was that not how sharia was passed across the northern states? Why wait for the FG to outlaw something you can outlaw?

The children of promise in Romans 9 are not so because they are elect but because they are in Christ, by faith. We are not children of promise unto faith but because of faith. Galatians 3 and the conclusion of Romans 9 confirm this. 1/

@ogundamisi @fkeyamo Sir, this is a project to extend an existing rail line so it has a terminal at the airport. It is not about Ikeja. It is about making rail transport an alternative option for commuting in and out of the airport to and fro anywhere the rail line passes through.

Minister @fkeyamo The proposed railway line from Ikeja to Lagos Airport ALSO IN IKEJA appears to be nothing more than a waste of scarce public resources. It is difficult to justify this project on economic or transportation grounds; it looks more like a vanity project than a priority investment. One of the commendable decisions of your tenure as Aviation Minister and the Tinubu administration is the ongoing upgrade of MMIA. However, this particular rail project raises serious questions about value for money. What exactly is the distance between Ikeja and MMIA? Traffic along that corridor is not so severe that it warrants a dedicated rail line. A more practical and cost effective solution would be to dualise and improve the existing road network linking MMIA through the Beckley/Beacham Police Station axis to the FAAN headquarters. Such an upgrade would ease traffic, improve accessibility, and deliver greater benefits at a fraction of the cost. At a time when resources are limited and infrastructure needs are immense, government spending should be guided by necessity, efficiency, and measurable public benefit, not prestige projects.

NIGERIAN ROAD NETWORK - ~196,000KM Nigeria's road network spans approximately 196,000 kilometres. Federal Roads - ~35,000 State Roads - ~30,000 Local Govt Roads - ~130,00 Of that entire stretch, only about 60,000km have been paved since 1960 - leaving roughly 135,000km unpaved. Do the mathematics yourself. 31% paved. 69% bare earth - after decades of governments who campaigned on development. So when people parade a phantom "glorious era" before your eyes like a mirage in the harmattan, ask them to show you the roads. Ask them where the kilometres went. Ask them who paved what - and for whom. Now. This government. This Asiwaju. In Northern Nigeria alone - the same North that the merchants of disaffection claim is boiling with rage against Tinubu: ✔ 135 road projects completed. ✔ 216 road projects currently under construction. ✔ 312 road maintenance projects completed. ✔ 50 more ongoing. These are not promises. They are not manifesto nuggets. They are concrete, asphalt, and will. So I ask you plainly - do you truly believe the North is displeased with this administration? No. You are the angry one. You, who have made a vocation of misery. You, who need the North to be enraged because your political project requires a villain in Abuja. You, who speak for the North without ever consulting the North. Do not put your bitterness in other people's mouths. Do not misrepresent the good people of Northern Nigeria. Good Morning Severally...
