Justin Verlander was back in the Tigers clubhouse Wednesday morning, with a smile that would have stretched from third base to first base. A pair of "good to see you" greetings and a couple of mutual longevity quips made it feel like it was 2017 (or 2005) again. Quite a presence.

Fort Dodge's LJ Maehl became the school's all-time basketball scoring leader on Tuesday.
At 1,316 points, she passed boys scoring champ Thomas Clark, who had 1,309 points from 1984-87.
Maehl is also now 6 rebounds away from Molly Nelson for the career mark (682). @MaehlLyndey

RHP Jackson Jobe has been placed on the 60-day injured list as he continues his recovery from Tommy John right elbow ligament replacement surgery. RHP Reese Olson has been placed on the 60-day injured list following a right shoulder labral repair. The surgery was performed on February 2 by Dr. Keith Meister. Olson will be out for the 2026 season.

We’ll see what happens, I’m not sure what to make of it. It’s hard to imagine they’re counting on him making 30 starts but I could be totally wrong
