Republicans ignore Trump and make a deal with Senate Democrats to fund DHS and TSA. The deal does not include funding for ICE or parts of Customs and Border Patrol. ICE funding will be taken up later. Will Mike Johnson and House Republicans pass the DHS funding bill to pay TSA knowing Trump did not support stand alone funding for DHS? Trump wanted the horrendous democracy ending SAVE Act included in the bill. Trump has said he will not sign the DHS funding bill unless SAVE Act is included. Senate Republicans did the right thing by making a deal with Democrats to pay TSA and end the chaos at airports nationwide. This was a good step in the right direction but DHS/ TSA funding may run into a roadblock in the House and the White House.
