It's really baffling how people find a reason to dislike Shane van Gisbergen. He's talented, a great interview, and he came to NASCAR, the sport that those same people love, because he also thinks it's awesome and wanted to be here. And yet I see criticism and wishing he'd leave.

Poor choice, in my opinion. NASCAR had a chance to recognize an active-duty Navy service member who is currently serving and sacrificing for our country. There are countless deserving men and women in uniform whose stories could have been highlighted. That would have been a far more meaningful choice.
