Obviously we’re all adults and ultimately responsible for ourselves, and we’ll each have to answer to Jesus Christ. But the Bible doesn’t say “hey just focus on yourself and don’t worry about your brother.” The Bible doesn’t say be introspective and self-absorbed and navel gaze. We’re called to speak the truth in love and to correct each other—personally if we can. And to not be hypocritical about it. Funnily enough, Megyn actually has the power and connection to rebuke Candace *personally*—the way the Lord commands. And it should go without saying, but moral clarity mattered to Charlie. More importantly, it matters to God. We’re not here to control each other (we can’t), but we’re also not here to only ever worry about ourselves.
