We lost our Charlie Binks today. The sweetest dog ever, always greeting people and other dogs with wagging tail & excitement. He even became friends with our potbelly pigs and with my brother-in-law’s cat! He gave the best hugs and smothered your face. RIP sweet angel ❤️

Finally, someone is talking about the Iraqi shepherd who discovered a secret Israeli military site in Iraq’s desert and was hunted down and killed by Israeli forces, who sent a helicopter after him and opened fire until his vehicle burst into flames. nytimes.com/2026/05/17/wor…

This is Iraqi shepherd Awad Al-Shammari, who uncovered the secret Israeli military site in Iraq’s desert back in March before authorities were aware of it. He was later killed by Israeli forces, who reportedly targeted his vehicle in the area.

I was just rewatching this game earlier today. The announcer said Ohio State had given up the least points in the season and it was one of the best defenses of the last 15 years. This was right before Miami scored their second touchdown of the first half. 😎
4Q_Miami@4Q_Greentree

Crazy thing about the Ohio St game is how Miami matched up physically. Ohio St had best D (some are saying a top 3 D of last 15-20 years) and Miami went to toe to toe all night. This Miami run is totally different from last 20 years. Creatures all over.

Thomas Massie just revealed that Pete Hegseth is going to Kentucky to personally campaign against him. “This shows how serious it is to the global elites that I lose.” “The Secretary of War may be coming to my district to campaign against me.” “During a war.” “And that’s why it’s so serious that I do win.” “If there’s gonna be any hope in Washington, DC.” “If there’s gonna be anybody that ever challenges the narrative, whether it’s on war or immunity for companies, whether they’re data centers or pesticide manufacturers.” Clayton Morris: “It’s one big uniparty.” “And when you call out the corruption machine, they don’t like that.” “Because they’ve been duping the American people for so long.” @RepThomasMassie @MassieforKY @ClaytonMorris

At a time when our world is afflicted by so many conflicts, particularly in the Middle East, Christians must, more than ever, strive for full unity so that we may bear witness together to the Prince of Peace. In doing so, we can be confident in the powerful intercession and example of the countless martyrs who have suffered for the name of Christ. #ChristianUnity

Today is Nakba Day. You cannot understand what lies at the heart of conflict in the Middle East unless you understand what happened to 85% of Palestinians in 1948. Here Eugene Rogan explains how hundreds of thousands of refugees ended up homeless in Gaza

“The torture of Palestinian detainees is part of a wider Israeli assault on Palestinian life. In Gaza, the genocide continues. In the West Bank, violence by the military and of settler militias is intensifying, displacing entire Palestinian communities families from their land. In detention facilities, Palestinians are systematically tortured. The pattern is the same throughout: escalating violence, the removal of restraints, and the normalization of a system that strips Palestinians of protection” writes Yuli Novak, executive director of B’Tselem, in an Op-ed for @guardian Read the full article >> theguardian.com/commentisfree/…

WOW! @Theintercept reviewed more than 12000 print articles and 5000 TV segments to check for biases on Israel-Palestine. I thought it would be bad. I had no idea it was THIS bad. No wonder Gaza killed what little credibility mianstream media had. In NYT, Israel's right to defend itself was invoked 99 times. Only once for Palestine. On CNN and MSNBC, it was invoked 755 times for Israel. But only 8 times for Palestine. Emotive words such as slaughter and massacre were used frequently when Israelis had been killed. They were NEVER used in print when Palestinians were killed. In Ukraine, 262 children were killed in the war, and it was mentioned 4223 times. In Palestine, more than 10,000 children were killed, but it was mentioned only 3632. The full article is in the subtweet. It's a MUST READ:

What kind of world are we leaving behind? Unfortunately, it is a world distorted by war and war-like language. This pollution of reason comes from the geopolitical sphere and invades every social relationship. Any simplification that creates enemies must be corrected, especially in universities, through complexity of thought and wise exercise of memory.

Rep. Victoria Spartz
Rep. Victoria Spartz@RepSpartz·
Due to numerous requests from the media, Rep. Spartz issued the following statement regarding Ms. West’s allegations against Rep. Massie and Rep. Spartz’s office: “Rep. Spartz has never heard of an alleged $5,000 settlement proposal - or any other settlement proposal- by Rep. Massie regarding allegations Ms. West brought against Rep. Spartz’s office. The first time Rep. Spartz heard these accusations by Ms. West against Rep. Massie was a few days ago in Ms. West’s public video. On a personal level, Rep. Spartz considers Thomas Massie to be one of the strongest supporters of women in Congress and a defender of women’s rights among her GOP colleagues. Rep. Spartz has seen him in action. Ms. West was not terminated by our office; rather, her temporary employment was not extended beyond 90 days due to concerning conduct by Ms. West. A few months later, Ms. West brought allegations against Rep. Spartz’s office, which Rep. Spartz denied and refused to settle during the pre-filing period. Recently, due to delays and other circumstances in this case, Rep. Spartz was willing to reconsider settlement discussions in order to save taxpayer money and mitigate disruptions to the operation of the office. At no point did Rep. Spartz try to force Ms. West into a non-disclosure agreement. On the contrary, Rep. Spartz would be happy to publicly disclose all aspects of these allegations, the circumstances surrounding Ms. West’s employment, and how this process is structured in Congress, if permitted to do so.”
