Dewsbury Hall was also asked about David Moyes. He said one thing Moyes uses a lot is his experience. Over 700 games in the premier league, he knows the league well and uses that experience. He said they might be going for a tough away game, Moyes will script out how to get 3 points and they will. He said he knows people don’t even expect Everton to get a point in many games but see how they’ve been achieving. I’ve said it before, this is what Moyes was doing for West Ham, but they didn’t appreciate him, he even won the UEFA Conference League with them, they thought they were all that until Moyes left. They’re battling relegation now.

10th-13th should have been the sweet spot for Everton before they started the season. We’re back in-line with my expectations. Anything else will be a bonus, but it’s a season too soon for us for Europe after battling relegation for so long & it’s a transition season

@bluesofgoodison I mean, we finished 13th last year and without the points deduction would have finished 12th the year before. So that’s 3 consecutive seasons of 10-13th. There is a huge section of our fanbase who completely lack ambition and are content to tolerate mediocrity.

Are we being unfair towards Moyes given it’s his first full season? He absolutely has a proven track record of getting teams into Europe with time. Trying not to be overly reactionary… Chopping and changing doesn’t work, in my opinion. Hard to say.

Everton went from 4th at the beginning of April to 10th by the end of may in Carlos full season. Don’t remember people calling for him to be replaced

@SimonFlynnefc @colingeorgerice Well that’s on the manager. He’s wasted the money on players he had limited ability/interest in developing. We had key priority areas that he just hasn’t addressed and Dwight McNeill is a first team starter after £140m spent.

You can argue whether Moyes will ever take Everton to that next step, but you can’t deny he brings stability We’re only dreaming of European nights because he got us out of mess. IMO, this club still needs a few years of prioritising stability. It’s easy to forget how BAD it was
