As session wraps up so does my time at WRTV. My last day is March 16th. I have accepted a position with @CBS58 in Milwaukee as their Capitol corespondent. Thank you to everyone in Indy for trusting me these last 4 years. It’s been my honor and privilege to cover this state.

A line of severe thunderstorms is expected to move through central Indiana this evening after 7 PM before ending by 2 AM. The primary threat will be damaging wind gusts from 60 to over 70 MPH, but a few tornadoes will be possible as well. #inwx #indy

@MikeDelph Mike, I talked to two different people who both oppose the project and shared their concerns. Even showed their concerns during the story. Also shared what INDOT had to say. You might not be aware but it is our job to tell both sides of the story not one. Have a blessed day.

The Rockville Road Neighborhood Assn invited me to a public meeting tonight on an issue we killed in 2008, mindless expansion of Rockville Road that the locals all oppose. One home owner will now have her front porch less than 10 feet from the newly created sidewalk. Her family has owned this home for generations! Public questions from the audience were strictly prohibited. I'm in the B-roll of both stories but the media was there for INDOT and to promote INDOT's agenda. They don't care about homeowners. Another Sine Die celebration with the press corps!

When it comes to testimony on HB 910, the mega project bill there are over 80 people in favor to testify and only 3 people signed up to testify against the bill. The city of Chicago is against this bill. It could head to the house floor in Illinois today.

It includes labor agreements ahead of time. One thing that stood out to me about these agreements is that 20 percent of the construction contracts must go to minority owned businesses. A policy Indiana has moved away from under the Braun administration.

I am covering the Bears bill today. It's expected to pass on concurrence out of the Indiana Senate today and head to the governors Desk. I am also listening to the Illinois House Revenue & Finance Committee where they are hearing the "Mega Project" bill related to the the Bears.

Indiana Congressman Andre Carson will not be attending the presidents state of the union tonight. Full statement attached.
