As session wraps up so does my time at WRTV. My last day is March 16th. I have accepted a position with @CBS58 in Milwaukee as their Capitol corespondent. Thank you to everyone in Indy for trusting me these last 4 years. It’s been my honor and privilege to cover this state.

Just got off a productive call with the USDA where I learned Ridglan Farms has been told to surrender their federal breeding license by July 1 or the USDA would take official action. They also gave us an official answer on how many dogs are left at Ridglan: 650. Even though Ridglan is losing their state (and potentially federal) licenses, it doesn't stop the on-site research they're conducting. I'll continue to work with the USDA and NIH to shut down the entire facility and find homes for the 650 remaining dogs!

Saying the left is unified in Wisconsin is an interesting statement, considering Democrats rejected a bipartisan plan endorsed by Governor Evers.

Covering the @WisGOP convention today. Several speakers lined up. Hoping to talk with @TomTiffanyWI at some point today. Wisconsinites what would you like to hear from GOP lawmakers today?

Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, who's running for governor, declines to say if last night's surplus vote was a good or bad outcome, instead looking to November. "We know this is hard on Wisconsin families, but we know when we have majorities...we're gonna put in long-term solutions"

The Senate is back in session where Dems are currently giving speeches on the floor, explaining their no votes.

Evers getting push back from his own party.

Governor Evers is urging lawmakers to get this deal done. Right now, the assembly and the Senate are at a standstill. There was supposed to be a press conference w/ Senate Dems at 2:45 but that was pushed back as was session. No word on when session will start.

I spoke to one democratic senator who confirmed all 15 democrats are aligned on this bipartisan deal. They are all no votes. Hearing rumors there is a Republican amendment in the senate, not confirmed. Session is scheduled for 3 pm. Stay tuned likely a long day ahead. @CBS58
