I'm always interested in unique roles such as this, especially when they are niche down to a specific industry like gaming. When I started my Google course - on digital marketing and e-commerce, I was immediately hit with too many roles, I knew community management was one that I resonated with. Being in the space has been so enlightening and interested but challenging... I hope to someday tell a story as yours.

My 12 year old daughters absolute favourite game is Stardew Valley. She has over 200 hours in the game, loves to talk to me about it, listens to the soundtrack and has started a Stardew sketchbook to draw stuff from the game. She doesn't know yet...but I managed to get tickets to the Stardew Valley concert for next year in Glasgow, she is going be so damn excited! 😁 #StardewValley

What a beautiful father–daughter moment. And it’s the kind of UGC indie devs overlook, but absolutely shouldn’t. Because moments like this sell games without you lifting a finger. And there’s more UGC hiding in your community: • sketchbooks, fan art, moodboards • guides, walkthroughs, spreadsheets • cozy screenshots + farm/house builds • character micro-stories • “this game got me through…” posts • parents bonding with kids through your title • cosplay + fan-made merch • recreating your world inside other games If you’re not collecting, reposting, and celebrating these… you’re leaving retention, trust, and word-of-mouth on the table. #CozyGames #IndieDev #PlayerLove #GameCommunity #GameMarketing

Today saw the end of an era. Our nazzy little Basset was put to sleep at lunchtime. She was 15 - outlived her littermates & honestly, I thought she'd live forever. But these last few months were tough on her, she had lost her mobility, had dementia & had "gone. I'll miss her.
