This has always been my view, and why I've never voted Dem before, even when I hated the Republican. Don't want to validate their ideas with my vote.
But I'm not so sure about this anymore, not watching the havoc MAGA is wreaking.

@Vincinnatus I used to feel the same way as TL. I used that logic in 2024 because I live in NJ, which was going for Harris anyway. However, had I lived in a swing state, I’d have voted for Harris because, as insane as leftist ideas are, Trumpism has concerned me more from 2024 to now.

This is actually the only way anything will change. Staying home in elections helps Trump. So does writing in a random candidate. Voting for a Dem doesn’t mean you support everything about the party, but the alternative is to enable MAGA. I’m glad some libertarians get it. Republicans need to lose in the midterms, lose in 2028, and keep losing until Americans get their country back from this small and vicious minority of lunatics.

Gary Carter was a Baseball Hall Of Fame player for the Expos not the Mets. Did he help them win a World Series, sure, but he had one great season and one good season statistically for the Mets. His knees couldn’t hold up. Go look at his Stats. Mets Hall of Fame, he deserved that but number retirement is another level. That belongs to someone who has had significant seasons of excellence. This is no knock or slight on Gary Carter he gave Mets 10.5 WAR in those first two seasons and a World Series win but catching is very hard on the body and he had very little left to give after that.

I hate to break it to you Frank, but there is little to nothing we can do at this point. Donalds, without a miracle, will be the nominee. DeSantis is the only one who MAY have the pull to change the outcome, if he so chooses to weigh in. If not, no matter how qualified any other candidate may be, last night showed that the #FoxNewsBoomers (with a few exceptions) refuse to let go. I am 100% behind Renner, but I also need to start being a realist. Without that miracle, It will be Donalds Vs Jolly. Florida is going to be decided on whether or not people love Trump more than they hate him - and it'll be close. I'll be voting for Jolly. I will not cast another vote for a republican who bends the knee to Trump, ever. Sitting out is not an option; MAGA has to go. The #FoxNewsBoomers need to go. That simple.
