@rootcausesleuth The new earth isn’t untill the end of the thousand reign of Christ, and the white thrown judgement. Then the old world will pass away and God creates a new heaven and a new earth.
Does anyone “go to heaven” when they die?
I thought the Bible talks about us living on the new earth with God.
If so, why tell people that if they believe in Jesus they will “go to heaven”?
@thedonmike@Ernest1588761 Repeating it doesn’t make it any less false. Continuing to vocalize this will just make people write you off as ignorant. We know where his tomb was, there’s corespondents to Rome describing his appearance, and his miracles, and he’s recorded by several non Christian sources.
@thedonmike@Ernest1588761 You’ve put no effort into finding the truth. No academic denies Jesus is a true historical figure. There are so many non biblical ancient text that speak of Jesus. There’s more evidence he lived than there is for Alexander the Great.
Religion was created by men because they could not handle the fact that women create life and that they have the power to chose whether life is created or not. so to forcefully and "logically" take that control from women, they created religion.
As a Gen Xer how many times have you started typing a reply to a post, gotten halfway through, and then realized you just don’t care enough to finish it?
@EvanPaul05@BrysonGray There’s ceremonial law, traditional law, and then the moral law. Jesus fulfilled the ceremonial law, but the moral law still applies.
Science says the sun existed before the earth and plants can’t grow without the sun.
The Bible says the earth and plants were created before the sun.
If a perfect, omniscient god inspired the Bible, why is the order wrong? 🤔🤨
@BanjoAtheist When you examine yourself, and you find that you’re not the good person you think you are, Jesus will be waiting, and you will know it is him. It’s a supernatural experience that you won’t be able to explain. Hope you reconsider.
@Michael54076330 Michael, you need to get out more. The issues are complicated. Even great conservative Christian apologist scholars agree that the evidence does not compel belief.
Sorry, dude, reasonable minds can disagree.
Like I said, get out more.
Christianity is stuck with a fatal flaw that their perfect deity has imposed a very short, unnecessary deadline for us to make a decision of eternal import.
Jehovah in 1,000,000,000,000 years: “Sorry, you had your chance.”
WTF? 🤷♀️
Yeah, yeah, “time” blah blah.
Still, WTF? 🤷♀️
@Machi1Nne The nephilim corrupted the gene pool and created a race of evil super humans. Noah was pure in his line. That’s why he was chosen. God also gave people a chance to board the ark, but they scoffed.
My view is simple.
I believe the Old Testament is the word of God.
The New Testament isn't.
To me, it's a collection of men's writings, letters, and interpretations about Jesus, not God's direct words.
Calling it the word of God doesn't make it so.
@EvanPaul05 In 1 Thessalonians we are commanded to pray without ceasing. Part of the Lord’s Prayer is asking for forgiveness of sin. He told us how to pray, what to pray for, and to do it all the time.
