@businessposthq Irish people will tolerate incompetence, corruption, money wasting from Government but one thing we will not tolerate and that is arrogance. We are an educated people and we see what is happening. If the FG FF Greens won't listen to us we will find a political party that will.

@trishdevlin British tabloid crap about "celebrities" keeping the great unwashed entertained. No wonder the country is going down the tubes fast.

So the only reason that Phillip Schofield finally admitted to his “affair” with a younger male colleague, is because the young man couldn’t bear lying anymore to the lawyers Schofield had hired for him (to keep him quiet). From the Daily Mail ⬇️

MacDonagh Cup living up to its excitement again. It's a competition that needs developing still, remove the link to the Liam MacCarthy and let it be its own competition with all teams playing into June. Rushing it off by the end of May isn't helping hurling.

@mlverney Great effort by all players. I'd really be in favour of this final being played before the McCarthy Cup final instead of the Minor final.

Three in four people believe that Ireland is taking in too many refugees, according to the latest Business Post/Red C poll, after the arrival of almost 100,000 people in the space of a year. businesspost.ie/api/oc-post/?u…

Have taken to 0.0% beers in last while. They’ve been lovely in the warmer weather this week. Genuinely can’t understand why puritans and prohibitionists campaign against them. I suppose the government gives them cash to lobby the government so they have to do something.

@DermotUsher Time to target them and get rid. Should be easy to plant a few stewards in and when they spout this stuff call Gardai to take them out, identify and ban

@CharlieFlanagan Heard it all before. Nanny stateism will take back what they give. Only winners are the people on the dole at a time of full employment. Ample re training schemes for them but no, they just want increased benefits and a gaff near their Ma.

@antoabs @AGSI_Ireland Nurses, teachers, Gardai. All well paid positions in the Public Service but still can't attract adequate applicants. There must be several reasons for this. Qualified nurses and teachers going to Abu Dhabi, Australia etc

It’s time Garda Management sat down with the Associations & discussed issues around recruitment & retention…falling numbers have been flagged for some time by @AGSI_Ireland..at what point does service to the public become affected asking less Gardai to do more is not sustainable
Conor Gallagher@ConorGallaghe_r

Garda numbers have fallen below 14,000 for the first time in years, despite ongoing efforts to increase recruitment. irishtimes.com/crime-law/2023…

I want Ange Postecoglou to stay at Celtic and have a crack at the CL next season and Tottenham Hotspur is clearly a downgrade/smaller club than Celtic but nobody can deny the fact that Ange will want a crack at the Premier League down south at some stage…

@NewstalkFM You need your passport to board. Then you are stupid or careless enough to lose it on board. Stupidity and carelessness should be grounds for immediate deportation.

@antoabs @AGSI_Ireland Four years having a disciplinary complaint hanging over him. If he was a criminal the case would have been thrown out for undue delay by the State.

Congratulations to @AGSI_Ireland colleague Sgt Andrew O Connor awarded a Scott Medal for bravery today for the arrest of a violent & dangerous criminal. A complaint was made to GSOC about the incident. It disgracefully took them 4 YEARS to find there was no wrongdoing by Gardai.
