English

@Cloudseeker55 @EnfieldSuDS This is topsoil from the site. Nothing removed nothing added from the site. The site is very gravelly so needs top soil for stability and plant growth.
English

@EnfieldSuDS Looks great but I always think it’s best not to put topsoil back.
English

Wilbury Way Wetlands are really starting to take shape! They are now being fed by a local surface water sewer - the water will travel through the wetland cells and ultimately discharge into the Pymmes Brook 💧 #SuDS

@PaulOBrienArch @JourneysPlaces @EnfieldCouncil @EnfieldSuDS @BetterSt4Enf Hello Paul, when was this photo taken? I have been looking into this, I believe its a problem with the ditch being overgrown in this location. please email me: bluegreen@enfield.gov.uk
English

@JourneysPlaces @EnfieldCouncil @EnfieldSuDS @BetterSt4Enf I was wondering if the relevant group might consider building an elevated deck in Cheyne Open Space similar to Grovelands/Hounsden Spinney so that the Greenway might be operation even when flooded here? Cheers, P

Enfield, London 🇬🇧 English

@Michaelsmither4 @EnfieldSuDS Thank you so much for confirming what I thought, these are under construction, not yet finished, hence the barriers. So as I suspected you have nothing to back up your claims.
English

@MichaelDShorey @EnfieldSuDS Had better things to do, there are many more but don’t have time to search them out at no.

English

@Michaelsmither4 @EnfieldSuDS Awaiting pictures of plants flowing down the road..... I doubt they are coming anytime soon.
English

@MichaelDShorey @EnfieldSuDS I will find pictures of where they flooded & washed all soil & plants away, they certainly shouldn’t be called rain gardens, and your claims just don’t work in practice. More greenwashing crap.
English

@Michaelsmither4 @EnfieldSuDS Water runs into them when it rains, and gets stored and then discharged at a controlled rate, they also allow for infiltration into the ground. What more would you like to know? They have concrete kerbs around them as they are next to a road.
English

@MichaelDShorey @EnfieldSuDS Made of concrete, when it rains they flood, wood clippings are washed away, so you explain then how these are rain gardens?
English

@Michaelsmither4 @EnfieldSuDS Not sure how these are concrete planters. They are dug out to a depth of around 850mm, gravels are in the bottom, a perforated pipe is then installed and top soil. This allows water to be stored then slowly release back into the sewer system.
English

@EnfieldSuDS Rain Gardens? Are you being serious, Concrete planter, top soil, plastic membrane & wood chip. They flood when it rains & woodchip washes away. & these complete tools call this a Rain Garden. 😜

@jukeboxjcj @EnfieldSuDS Why did you feel it necessary to make a pointless comment?
English

@EnfieldSuDS Why did you feel it necessary to CGI leaves on the trees, and lovely families with lovely children and a lovely dog?

What a beautiful day for the reintroduction of #beavers to London for the first time in 400 years. SO proud of all the team's hard work in delivering this historic project. Let's hope our beautiful beavers are settling in and build some damn good dams! 🦫 #rewidling
English

@EnfieldCouncil @GalliardSchool @Thames21 Is this not an @EnfieldSuDS project? Maybe they should be tagged aswell....
English

The 100,000th tree has been planted! Thank you to the 100s of volunteers, groups and local schools such as @GalliardSchool pictured with Cllr Ian Barnes & Cllr Rick Jewell in national tree week who helped us reach our target of planting 100k trees at Enfield Chase with @Thames21

Start your Friday with an aerial view of the largest #woodland creation project in London. @EnfieldCouncil's woodland restoration project is excellent. Watch video produced by @JohnDCole & @hikinginlondon below. Our volunteers help to plant the #trees. bit.ly/3F5m5EK
