The hardback archives of Monkhouse’s handwritten joke books, dating back to 1960s, were bought in for repair by the comic’s adopted daughter and his old writing partner. In a tribute to the comic, who died in 2003, footage of the restoration was due to be aired this year. But the BBC axed the segment after a member of the production company Ricochet complained about one of the gags. I would like to know the identity of that employee. He or she has robbed many of us of a decent bit of television. Rare enough on the BBC I couldn’t give a toss if they were upset about the gag. Monkhouse will have bought a damned sight more pleasures to the world than this employee ever will.

@Investor_UK1 20 panels & a Tesla 3 Powerwall. £15k, eight year payback. But we could also power our car for nothing on sunny days and we spend about £140 on petrol a month.

Two weeks ago we had solar panels and a battery fitted. We have just completed our first full week with the system. Our electric bill for the week commencing 10th March 2026 compared to the same week last year has dropped by 71% from £31.71 to £9.05. We also have not received our DNO cert yet which would allow us to sell back into the grid. On sunny days our battery has been full by 11:30am meaning we don’t yet benefit from the excess free energy being produced. We are now going to buy an electric car and fill it with free energy. If only all of the UK could do this, it would go along way to reducing the countries high energy costs. @octopusenergy @g__j

@rayconnolly My ENVY 6230 stopped printing a couple of weeks ago. I looked in the Windows printer settings, and there was another driver HP96DD03 installed. Selected that one for printing and it worked. No idea of how/why. Have a look at your Windows printer settings.

Anyone else having trouble HP ENVY 6020e to print?
