140 days from becoming Dr. Nemeth, and today, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude to be selected as @UIWSOM ’s Student Doctor of the Year. A decade ago, I couldn’t have imagined this moment: graduating medical school, interviewing for my dream job, and being honored in this way. This journey hasn’t been easy, and I owe everything to the incredible support system around me. Thank you to my peers and faculty for nominating me and to the staff at UIWSOM for enriching my experience beyond measure. To my mentors-thank you for seeing my potential, even when I had a hard time seeing it myself. To my friends and colleagues who’ve been my lifeline, your encouragement has carried me through the hardest days. This honor isn’t just mine. Recurrent Hypertensive Crises in a Patient with Multiple Sclerosis: An Elusive Case of Pheochromocytoma I recently had the opportunity to work on a particularly engaging case study that helped elucidate a diagnosis of pheochromocytoma. This rare adrenal tumor, known for producing excess catecholamines, provided valuable insights into its clinical presentation and diagnostic challenges.
