@MichaelGoldsbie@TorontoHydro It is strange the power is back at 34 Sheppard but still not 33 Sheppard when the buildings are colocated and share the lobby area.
@karinschnarr@TorontoHydro My understanding when I phoned Toronto Hydro is that while the outage itself is done, the building staff have to actually configure something. I spoke to the concierge at ~7 and they said they need to call in the building manager to come in, and the ETA for that would be an hour.
@TorontoHydro@MichaelGoldsbie@torontohydro am at 33 Sheppard Ave and the power has been out since 1:05pm and we are no longer showing up on the outage map. Is there an estimated resolution time?
@TTChelps That doesn't offer any info. This stretch of the Yonge subway is frequently closed on weekends and early weeknights for track work, yet these reduced speed zones persist, and now there's a new one too. Stuart Green in January said there will never be 0... Will they ever be fixed?
@thatssojokes4 The reduced speed zone is from Davisville to St. Clair, in both ways. This will ultimately delay service to the surrounding stations. Nonetheless, I have shared your comments and concerns. ^SR
My beloved Parkway Forest plaza (just south of Fairview Mall) continues to evolve. Lost a Foodland but gained an Iqbal Foods. The convenience store now stocks a lot more SA candy and soda.
Went back to Vietnoms tonight (wrote about it this week) cause there's other stuff the owner said I needed to try. Love the sizzling plate, the sweet and sticky fish sauce wings and the seafood noodles.

@karonliu Someone from a FB group I'm a part of asked the staff and apparently they said that Wednesday the 26th is actually the last day, and I just called the restaurant and got that confirmed.
@MichaelGoldsbie it's too early, this type of cherry tree always bloom much later than the other ones. my picture was taken 2 years ago btw. the trees are there, you'll see them if you walk on south side of Sheppard, one traffic light east of Don Mills, towards 404.
Good morning World! It's Contest Time again! The 3 funniest answers will win Vintage Simpsons Action Figures from @SilverSnailTO !
This month's query: WHO do you want to go Trick Or Treating with in Springfield and WHY??
GO!
Line 1: There will be no subway service between Finch and St Clair stations on Saturday, September 17 and Sunday, September 18 to accommodate ATC signal system enhancement. Shuttle buses will run.
@FunkyGrooving@deonandan Same. I got my fourth dose on July 15th and the earliest possible day I will be eligible for the next one will be October 7th, and while I'd really like to get it right then, this seems to go against most public health recommendations to wait longer between doses.
@deonandan Wondering best strategy, as this might be last dose available for 6+ mo. Will Covid be worse in Nov or Jan/Feb? Got my 2nd booster (4th dose) in July, 7 mo after 1st booster. Not sure whether to get this one in 84 days (mid Oct) or wait longer, as this winter likely messy.
