@McInnispicks Oh please, maybe it never gets called cause refs are already sick of his diving bull shit
English

@paddle_down @Hellouncleleo Protecting his crease during non play? During play is 100% understandable but after a stoppage of play is ridiculous and he’s just asking for a penalty to be called. It’s not old school hockey its selfishness
English

@Hellouncleleo Its not an "act", its protecting his crease. Hes an old school goalie. Not a pussy. More goalies need to stand up for themselves. Hes stopping puck just fine. Hes largest reason theyre even in ECF.
English

Its deserved. He had absolutely zero reason to skate thru the crease like that.

Jakub Dobes gave William Carrier a shot after freezing the puck 🫣
English

@DrakeMT Refs will almost always call the retaliation 100% of the time at any level of hitting hockey. Theirs no first call to be made, was a clean play along the boards. Bottom line is he should have continued playing instead of looking to retaliate.
English

@bulis_jan @wDandyy @OwenP29 Then why do players constantly try to poke the puck lose if it would get called for interference every time? What would the point be?
English

@MichaelPadak @wDandyy @OwenP29 That type of situation is the easiest interference call, always called that way, can't jam it out from under the goalies' pads
English

This angle it definitely looks like Greenway taps this, but the quick whistle means we never find out. With goaltender interference being what it is in the NHL, I don’t know that this gets called off. If that puck’s just sitting between his legs there’s a case to be made.
Sneaky Joe@SneakyJoeSports
I really don't think the Malenstyn quick whistle matters to the end result. If he doesn't blow the whistle, how isn't this getting overturned on goalie interference? The puck is covered.
English

@FutureHabsGM @Ms_NYRangers He never had it covered with his glove. It was sitting inbetween his pads for a split second when Greenway went to poke it. Just think the ref blew the whistle very quickly. Maybe he was trying to avoid a scrum but either way it was blown dead quicker than what has been the norm
English

@MichaelPadak @Ms_NYRangers We see things differently, his action of jamming the glove when the puck was covered clearlt caused the puck free, but the ref blew the whistle because it was covered.
English

@TregeWilson_THW @RichMous @HabsUnfiltered I think an interference call would be tick tacky. Greenway pushes the puck free and doesn’t move Dobes to the net. If every time a player tries and pushes a puck free and it got called for interference why even try to get it loose before the whistle when it could be called back?
English

@RichMous @HabsUnfiltered It was an early whistle because the puck was free however it was free because Greenway pushed it free hence goalie interference
English

Here are my thoughts on game 7
1. Goal was not “kicked” league did review
2. Should’ve been a penalty for hitting Dobês, yes he embellished
3. Yes early whistle, yes would have been overturned on goalie interference

English

@angelomole11 @PatLovesSports Yeah it’s very unfortunate. Greenway pokes it free right before the ref blows it. I think it’s overall just to quick of a whistle
English

@MichaelPadak @PatLovesSports Idk id call it incidental. I thought I heard the whistle just as I saw it come loose.
Tough feeling when the ref behind the net isn’t blowing it but the one at the top of the circle behind traffic is.
Shit happens
English

@PatLovesSports @angelomole11 The other case to be made I guess with this one and the one last night is UPLs leg gets pushed with the puck might be slightly interfering when Greenway seemed to have poked the puck free but I think both should be goals
English

@PatLovesSports @angelomole11 And I think the refs fucked that one up as well
English

@angelomole11 @PatLovesSports Whistle blew after the jab knocked the puck loose unfortunately
English

@PatLovesSports My guy you can jab at it until the whistle. The whistle was called, hence no goal. Not because Dobes had it covered because he clearly didn’t, but because the refs lost sight of the puck.
Happens all the time in regular season.
English

@Not__Sven @FutureHabsGM @Ms_NYRangers It’s still not the same as pushing Dobes “body” toward the net it would be 50/50 but I don’t think it would be interference. How many times do these guys poke at the goalie before the whistle if it’s called interference to get the puck lose why do guys consistently try to do it?
English

@MichaelPadak @FutureHabsGM @Ms_NYRangers Brother he litterally poked Dobes pads to make the puck loose. Same as pushing the glove with the puck in it accross the goal line.
English

@BradTheBarrel Move on from your best if not second best player? Fucking horrible take
English

@_JordanDecker @LeafsLookout He blew the whistle after the puck got loose, to say his intent to blow it when Dobes was quickly on it is hearsay because of how fast everything happened
English

@LeafsLookout The puck was covered by the goalie and only came free because they whacked at his pads. The rule is the refs intent to blow the whistle. His intent to blow the whistle started when the puck was under Dobes’ pads.
English

The whistle was gone. How much explanation was needed? 🤦🏻♂️
alex brasky@alexbrasky
Lindy Ruff says he didn’t get an explanation on the “no goal” that should’ve been the sabres’ game winner NHL is a rec league Billion-dollar joke
English

@BostonCream 46th out of approximately 19,500 is not bad so what’s your point?
English

@FutureHabsGM @Ms_NYRangers Not goaltender interference, Dobes doesn’t move when Greenway pokes it or Greenway doesn’t drive him back toward the net when he pokes at it, Greenway is playing until the whistle he pokes it free before the whistle blows
English

@Ms_NYRangers Watch the play, Dobes had it covered and the Buffalo player pitch forked it, causing the puck loose. Under review that would be goalie interference. Buffalo played an awesome game though, hats off to them.
