People don't enjoy their jobs. What they like is the idea that they have some sort of leverage over society, to *make* society give them food and shelter instead of just *begging* for it. That's why most people don't want to be on welfare, even if they'd have more *stuff*.

@gonzvasq @cgaunerd I’m talking coming from Union st. Very few people try and get from Eastern to Union, so much so that the west bound lane gets clogged. I’m talking about getting from Union to Eastern moving east. That traffic backs up to 8th.

Subscription traps, whether from an app or gym membership, are just another way corporations take advantage of working people.  We've already put hundreds of companies on notice. This week, we proposed a rule that would make NYC a national leader in cracking down on abusive practices that nickel-and-dime New Yorkers.

@MattBruenig fyi this game raises an ungodly amount of money that the team then distributes to a high number of charities, including the scholarship fund of the union I work for, which helps kids whose parents died of 9/11 related cancer have one less thing they have to worry about.
