I have a real problem with political gerrymandering. Last week, the Supreme Court ruled to limit parts of the Voting Rights Act. Ultimately, this will make it easier for states to dilute the votes of Black voters and other minority groups. We need to outlaw gerrymandering. Period.

Hello Scanlon Fundamental and basic funding for schools is the STATES RESPONSIBILITY!!!!! Federal dollars are meant to supplement those children who are at a disadvantage not a means of full school funding. If states would stop agreeing to extremely costly teachers union contracts just to appease them and get kickbacks, they could instead provide a valuable and rewarding education instead of creating a generation of illiterate graduates.

The only time Republicans take an interest in public schools is to dismantle them. The billions we've sent to the Iran War or to ICE and Border Patrol could've helped thousands of public schools across America.
