In a few hours, 20 of the finest #WiFi Professionals from prestigious higher education institutions and well known enterprises will join to share a fun weekend of sharing and learning at #WLPC. Making Wi-Fi better one class at a time!
What I did care about was custom domain name support for Outlook dot com, but that was removed about a year after it released, so negative value there, actually. Nah, this price increase is garbage, and if Microsoft wants extra money for the new features, they should be add-ons.
"These price changes reflect the extensive subscription benefits... added over the past 12 years... Microsoft Defender, creative tools like Clipchamp, and countless enhancements to (Office) in addition to new features such as... Copilot and Microsoft Designer.”
Not worth it.

The wireless at #BettAsia2024 is unusable. It’s a shame because this event should be seeing high volumes of social engagement, but I’m seeing frustrated attendees trying to hotspot amplifying the problem. Good, fast frictionless wifi should be a given at a conference these days
@thurrott I used Publisher recently to make some DVD cases for some personal projects.
Sad news. I will have to play with LibreOffice Draw, Inkscape, Scribus, etc.
Anyone have other recommendations? Not invested in Adobe, and tools from Serif seem overly complicated to me.
Saw @Joe_Gatto playing tonight in Perth, with the hilarious @Jiggycomedy opening. Highly recommend - equal parts polish and chaos and an all round wonderful night. Thank you for making the trip to entertain us!
Pumped to see @Joe_Gatto in action in Perth. Legend. Hopefully we see a few of the other boys make their way over too in the future… @BQQuinn@SalVulcano *nudge nudge*
@Ed02dot11@KeithRParsons was looking to run one a few years ago but we didn’t come through with the numbers. I hold out hope that he’s in a position to have another crack in the future.
I really enjoyed WLPC Prague, but I'm still on the fence re WLPC Phoenix. That's another 20+ hours flight each way 😟
I'm waiting for WLPC APAC though 😉
Looks like @Exclaimer might be experiencing an outage. Mail delivery heavily delayed and i'm getting cloudflare timeouts on the portal. I'm in Australia.
This post will save you $75 and prepare you for Apple's "Big Bang" that arrives on Monday.
Join us Sunday for a Twitter Space where @IrenaCronin and I will tell us what we know about the Apple Headset and the AI Mesh infrastructure it has built.
The Twitter Space will be Sunday at 5 p.m. Pacific Time. You can sign up here: x.com/i/spaces/1lygb…
Thank you AI Artist @RobertpHaslam who has been sending me all these videos to get me hyped up for Monday. Here's another one.
Some things we will cover:
1. Apple's advantages:
-Stores
-Supply chain
-Ecosystem
-Spatial Audio
-Trust
-AI Infrastructure
-TV service
-Movie studio and service
-Music studio and service
-Fitness studio and service
-AI Mesh.
2. Why it cost $40 billion.
3. What we expect from the new Siri.
4. The magic of immersion. Why the headset naysayers are wrong.
5. What we expect venture capitalists to invest in from here.
Irena and I will talk for a while, maybe even an hour, then we will open it up for the community to tell us what their dreams for the future of computing are and what they are hoping to see on Monday.
Then, on Monday, we'll do it again, starting another Twitter Space right after the Apple keynote ends.
Regarding the $75, on Sunday we'll send our long paper about the new Siri and its impact to anyone for free. To get a copy, just leave a note here and we'll send it on Sunday.
