Thousands of mothers were silenced. Children taken. Lives changed forever. Now MPs are demanding the truth be faced. Should the Government finally apologise for forced adoption? Survivors deserve more than silence. It is time for accountability.

Please be aware that, for adoptions which occurred before 1975, there was no legislation which specified how long records should be kept, or how they were to be stored. This might mean that records may have been lost or destroyed.

A system of forced adoption stigmatised unmarried mothers. Many were separated from their babies without meaningful, informed consent.
The Government must apologise to survivors.

It's always funny watching researchers RAGE and SEETH when autistic people and people with ADHD or other neurodivergence come up with language to describe their own experiences. Hermeneutic justice from collective experiences genuinely upsets them. They rage against shared terms

SEND families - have you ever noticed a: how often schools hide behind what they describe as "the professionals' view" & b: get really defensive when you ask which professionals, their name, qualifications & contact details so you can verify? Is it actually just Bodie & Doyle? 🤣

@looneyfox_1 @AliArthPainter Therapists and coaches are completely unregulated in the UK.
Belonging to BACP etc is not regulation and the patient has no protection if things go wrong.
The @The_HCPC is working towards regulation of therapists and psychologists (not sure about coaches).
